This elegant restaurant easily stands out of the pile of the "snitzel-and-sausages" restaurants in Innsbruck. It has a very modern, creative and innovative cuisine which is obvious from the time you read its catalog.
We tried one starter and two fish dishes.
The starter was "Soup of green peas with bacon dumpling", a tasty idea with a delicious bacon dumpling but with (more than needed) strong butter taste covering the gentle competition between bacon and peas.
The first fish dish was "Pike perch with red port sauce, fennel puree and sorbet". The chef tried here to marry two phenomenaly non-matching tastes (fish and red wine sauce) but I think he succeeded in every aspect (I think only perch could ever be accompanied with red wine sauce). Very good final result (the fennel puree was just great).
The second fish dish was "Char fish with potato gnocchi and creamy lettuce salad". It had a very light but full of aromas taste, fantastic combination and perfectly cooked.
Two glasses of a fresh local riesling were the ideal company.
Recommended if you seek something different and creative.
