“Innovative !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

This elegant restaurant easily stands out of the pile of the "snitzel-and-sausages" restaurants in Innsbruck. It has a very modern, creative and innovative cuisine which is obvious from the time you read its catalog.
We tried one starter and two fish dishes.
The starter was "Soup of green peas with bacon dumpling", a tasty idea with a delicious bacon dumpling but with (more than needed) strong butter taste covering the gentle competition between bacon and peas.
The first fish dish was "Pike perch with red port sauce, fennel puree and sorbet". The chef tried here to marry two phenomenaly non-matching tastes (fish and red wine sauce) but I think he succeeded in every aspect (I think only perch could ever be accompanied with red wine sauce). Very good final result (the fennel puree was just great).
The second fish dish was "Char fish with potato gnocchi and creamy lettuce salad". It had a very light but full of aromas taste, fantastic combination and perfectly cooked.
Two glasses of a fresh local riesling were the ideal company.
Recommended if you seek something different and creative.

“This by far and away the best restaurant in Innsbruck”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

The chef has worked in Shanghai and it shows in the presentation of food--none of the dreadful heavy fare that you are expected to eat in Austria --perfectly cooked and presented and imaginative food.. If you are ever there make a point of visiting this place you will not be disappointed..

“Off the eaten track excellence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

Always worth the effort of finding eateries that are a little off the well-worn tourist track and this seemed to be the case with this delightful restaurant which has a really interesting menu that is a mix of traditional and unusual ingredients - the rabbit with mushrooms, parsnips and blueberries was wonderful and the house-made sorbets were superb especially the lemon and mint combination. Excellent service and friendly helpful staff.

“Lovely veal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

We went here after a recommendation by my German teacher who is from Innsbruck. We went on a very wet night so it was easy to get a table. The menu was in both German and English which was helpful. The restaurant is very nice inside and has a relaxed ambience. There were several things on the menu which looked good.

We both opted for the set menu of lobster soup and then veal. We started with bread which was rolled onto a wooden stick with olives and dips. The lobster soup was unusual (but wouldn't get it again. The veal was absolutely superb. My wife had Creme Brule and I had the strudel. The main course could have had more vegetables but it was surprisingly filling all the same. the Weiss beer was very good.

The service was very prompt and the staff very friendly. Would definitely go again and may try the steak next time

“convenient restaurant with surprising menu”

I have eaten twice in the restaurant with a group and alone and was surprised on the second visit how the modern food style has great international variety and impression.
