Our one night in Austria, just travelling through on the train from Paris to Venice, required authentic Wiener Schnitzel and our hotel recommended Weisses Rossl. We were delighted to find a family-run restaurant that dated back to 1590. They have perfected it in that time :) Food, service and atmosphere were excellent.

Breakfast was delish! It was always ready on time, the staff was very customer oriented. There was also a place to explore just outside the door. Just a really fun place to stay and eat.

The main room in the restaurant is small and cosy, there's a large outdoor terrace. We had a lovely meal, the owner was very accomodating when we hadn't booked a table. Delicious potato rosti!

This is a lovely restaurant in Innsbruck's "Altstadt" serving up traditional Austrian and Tyrolean cuisine. Our waitress was unpleasant and inattentive, She treated us like we weren't good enough to be served by her. She hastily took our orders for drinks and food (in German) without saying even a word, completely neglected our table and disappeared thereafter.
The food was directly brought to us by a kind young man from the kitchen staff. It was really good but it didn't go down well with such behavior.
When she finally reappeared we asked for the check. Being surprised that I nicely tipped, she said just a quick "Dankeschoen"

The food here is very plain and germanic, and the restaurant strives for that Tyrolean wooden house look. Everything was well prepared and tasty. The strudel was really good.
