“Excellent restaurant”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Lovely place near the Mirabel palace. It is in a quiet primarily residential location. Most of the clientele are Austrian rather than tourists. There is an excellent breakfast menu which is a good alternative to the traditional Austrian hotel breakfast of rolls, cold cuts and cheese. They also have a wonderful selection of cakes, even looking at them will make your waistline bulge! The layout of the cafe is very relaxing as there are high windows, which leave in plenty of light and also give you an opportunity to view the lovely surrounding street architecture. Overall, this cafe is well worth a visit when you are in Salzburg.

“Best breakfast!”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Really perfect place! It is a good option for a breakfast! We stayed one night nearby, decided do not take a B @ our hotel, and wasn't disappointed at all! We were lucky to find the sit there, some tables were reserved )))) Big variety of B-sets, all looks nice, fresh so simply perfect ;)))

“Nice option for breakfast”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

This is a nice option for a breakfast if you're in the area. It seemed much more like a place that locals favour rather than tourists, possibly because its a little out of the way of the main sights. I had a very nice coffee and croissant for my breakfast, but they have quite a few other options on the menu too. the cakes are supposed to be very good also.

“Extensive breakfast menu”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

We were tired of rolls and cold cuts, and recalled Fingerlos from a previous visit. It is located in the Neustadt in a residential area, and a senior home is above. Previously we were there in summer, and enjoyed sitting at outside tables on the sidewalk. This time we were inside the very modern cafe. It's a good people-watching spot, and seems to attract mostly locals. The breakfast menu was several pages long, and some of the offerings are served on tiered trays, very unique presentation. There is also a long, glass counter with gorgeous tortes, cakes, candies and bakery items. The cafe reportedly is known for catering events for Salzburg "society", and is famous for their beautiful wedding cakes. One of our group ordered the "extensive" breakfast which brought a platter of cheese and meats and a variety of rolls and "something sweet". My husband had soft-boiled eggs, followed by a dessert of carrot cake. One of our friends had eggs with three kinds of sausage, and I had herb scrambled eggs. Everything was good, and prices much less than charged by the big hotels.

“Fantastic breakfasts”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

After finding this place we ended up going every morning for breakfast and had a different meal each time. Everything we had was excellent, it was always extremely busy but we always got a table OK.
