“Excellent Family run Hotel”

This is a very nice Hotel approx 5km from Salzburg centre but as the public transport is so good this is not an issue.
Stayed for 4 nights in a cat b room. Room itself was very good, very clean comfortable bed. En Suite shower/wc also fine. Superb views of the Untersberg too. There was some noise from a road that ran by the side of the hotel but not too bad
Breakfast very good , we eat 2x in evenings and again very good. Menu not that extensive but what we had was good quality and reasonable price.
The best thing about the hotel was Inge and Sylvia (mother and daughter) who were very helpful and always cheerful

Well, where to start? You've seen it all below. No need to rehash. The dinners are fab, and very reasonable. Vast bedroom with bags of power points. Wall mounted flat screen TV swivels so is visible wherever you are. My wife says, "It's the best furniture we've ever had in a hotel." Huge closet (cupboard) with tons of storage.

Very helpful mother and daughter. Bus close and frequent. More parking than needed, and well drained and easy to use. Easy to find.

€95 for all this and a fantastic breakfast? Yup. OK, so what's wrong? Too good to be true? Nope. It really IS that good. I don't know how they do it.

Any niggles? A couple of teeny tiny ones. The bath is wonderful, the shower can get the whole bathroom wet if you are not careful. The towels are great - lovely and fluffy like you might have at home. Make sure that you use the provided plug in bug thing because there are little flying critters when the windows are open. No air conditioning but we didn't need it in mid August as long as we had windows open. A little airplane noise around 7:30 most mornings, but no jets. Didn't bother us. The neighbor rooster is a bit loud. Never heard the horses.

Would we go back? In a heartbeat. In fact we're thinking of stopping here on the way to Vienna next year.

By the way, the buses are so easy with only one connection from the train station that the location should not put you off.

In a word, we loved it.

This hotel was great. We booked a category B room and it was lovely. It is simple and fast to get into town by bus, better than driving. Would recommend having dinner at least one night at the hotel. It was reasonably priced, and the food came quickly even thought it was made to order. Breakfast was good but don't go at the end of service as they didn't seem to replenish things towards the end. They will make you whatever kind of eggs you want. The woodworking throughout was beautiful. This was my favorite hotel in our trip of Germany and Austria and also the least expensive.

A jewel off the beaten track. You'd need a car to really enjoy this place as it is located somewhat far from the city center. This is a great place to stay if you're in Salzburg for some two or more days and want to discover the area in a relaxed manner. It's not for travellers who just want to see the city and move on. That said, if you are interested in experiencing genuine Austrian hospitality, even for one day, here you'll get an unforgettable sample!

During the whole stay was amazed by the service & hospitality of Sylvia & her family. I have stayed in some very exclusive hotels & found this better than all of them. Its located outside the town but is serviced by a very good local bus service which runs every 15mins exactly to time. The food is excellent all freshly prepared to order. The rooms are well furnished spacious & very clean. All in all a very enjoyable holiday - only wish there were more hotels like this

Having not seen my Mother for a few years, I arranged to take her on a well deserved Holiday to the lovely city of Salzburg. I chose the Bloberger Hof because of its location and tranquil setting. The Bloberhof is surrounded by beautiful views and only a short distance from the center of Salzburg. I must acknowledge Silvia and her Mother who together with a few staff run this place and provide an excellent service and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant is excellent and provides a good balanced menu.
The city itself is beautiful, the Mozart dinner concert is a must and also a visit to the lake district...if you are a fan of the movie the 'sound of Music' take a tour with Panorama tours ..all in all a charming and refreshing short break.

Family with 2 teenage boys. Inga & Sylvia were amazing hosts - out of there way to help us enjoy our very short time in Salzburg. We originally requested 2 rooms - but were given large apartment. Facilities were great - very clean and extremely comfortable. Dinner was so good we ate there both nights. The only drawback is distance from old district, but bus stop is very close and hosts are more than happy to provide directions to tourists.
