“Great way to Spend a day”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Took a day trip here from Munich (approx 2hrs train journey) headed straight for the old town, the architecture was very pleasing on the eye, the town seems to move at a leisurely pace and for such a small town, there is a lot of jewels in this crown, its very walkable with lots of unexpected alleyways which look like the entrance to shops but actually take you through to courtyards which in turn lead you onto another part of town. Every church is better than the one before.

“You Can't Not See It”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

If you visit Salzburg, you'll be visiting the old town, and it is quite a lovely place to see. Plenty to walk around and beautiful sites to see.

“Quaint - Lovely old town”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

The old town section of Salzburg is beautiful. The architecture is great. You walk through alley ways of cobble stone streets. The houses almost all have balconies on the upper stories. It looks like something out of a movie. A must do!

“Not to miss this.”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

The most ornate and beautiful signage design displayed over the Old Town market that I've ever seen as a graphic designer/artist. Craftsmanship is overtly displayed here. Total ethnic melding. Salzburg is big city culture, and can be disarming to a foreigner ... it was to me, anyway. You park out of town, but remember specifically your lot drop off. We unloaded 1 parking lot too soon, but were saved by a followup bus fortunately. Ask your parking attendant where exactly to get off the bus in Salzburg, and which parking lot you need to return. Then enjoy the hustle and bustle that is Salzburg. The Fortress has great views if you want some elevated photos. Lot's of fun people watching.

“Could have spent longer”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Centre is full of interesting buildings, and we would have liked to spend more time looking around. Lots of little alley ways with craft shops and the cathedral was magnificent. Lots of "Sound of Music" locations for the film buffs, but you do not get overwhelmed with the subject.
