Terrific base, 10 mins on regular bus from city centre.(16 euros each weekly). Spar at bus stop, then 5 min walk. Bus also stops at Volksgarten (2 beautiful outdoor pools). Felt very relaxed in such a beautiful home. Dagmar very friendly and kind to see us off early on final day. We treasure many happy memories from a beautiful city and fantastic base. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers. would highly recommened.
We had the pleasure of staying in Dagmar's Mozart residence for 2 weeks. Hands down, the best trip we have had as a family and a big part of it was due to how comfortable we were in that house. The house is located in a quiet area, last on the street, with a creek behind and a less than 10 minute walk to the grocery store and the bus stop. We used public transportation to get around and with the proximity of the bus stop that goes every 10 min there was no need to rent a car. The house itself was very clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of space for the family of 8 and with a park within 5 min walk with a zip line, and nice playing structures to entertain the kids. I would highly recommend renting this house for anyone who plans to spend time in Salzburg.
P.S. Dagmar (the owner) was a pleasure to work with! She responded right away to our emails, accommodated kids with extra beds, was warm and kind in person and made sure our stay was as comfortable as could be. Thank you, Dagmar!
We had a great stay in Dagmar's house in Salzburg for five nights. The house is in a peaceful position in a leafy street about 25 minutes walk from the old town. There is a bus stop on the corner which would be quicker. There is parking outside, a terrace to eat your meals on, and all the information you will need for your stay in Salzburg is available.
The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and all the communication and arrangements were very smooth. We would definitely recommend it.
This place worked very well for our family. Lots of space, quiet neighbourhood, good location. And Dagmar was very helpful and kind. Highly recommend.
The house is away from the center of town, last house on a quiet street with a mountain view in the back, very pleasant environment. There is a stream and a walking path right behind the house. Off-street parking. You could take a bus to the center; we had a rented car and used that. With six adults in our group I had hesitated due to only one full bath and one half bath but that did not prove to be a problem for us; we quickly adjusted our shower/bath times and it worked fine. The house is spacious, clean and well-equipped; the owner is helpful and kind. We would definitely come back.
We spent 2 month in Europe and our highlight was definitely our stay at Dagmar’s house in Salzburg. The location is very green and tranquil but also very central to down town. You breathe an incredible fresh air from the forest and mountain close by and in the morning you can have breakfast at the terrace or in the garden and just hear the birds. With the bus it is a 10 minutes ride to the city but we enjoyed it also very much to walk back to the house from down town. It is an easy 30 minutes’ walk with a lovely scenery.
The house is very spacious and provides all commodities one needs. Dagmar is a great host and puts much effort in all the details. It was also spotless clean. We did a lot of tours and it was a great base to explore the city and surrounding lake areas. Especially recommendable is the Schloss Hellbrun, a church service at the Dom and on a rainy day the Saltmines in Hallein.
Often we left early in the morning and came back in the afternoon. It was great to relax in the garden or at the terrace and just read a book or listen to some Mozart music.
If you look for an unique spot to spent a really great time, you wont regret it.
We hope to come back soon

Traveled with a group of 6 adults. Good location, close to bus stop and Grocery store which was convenient. But only 1 shower made it a little tricky to get everyone done before going out for the day, But we worked it out. Beds were comfortable. We had some really warm weather during our stay, The windows are large and can open wide open for the fresh air. Spath was there to meet us when we arrived. She left us with a fruit basket which was very sweet, after a train ride to town and somewhat hungry. It filled us till we could go to the market for food which we did soon after our arrival. walking distance was nice. We did several trips to to store.
