“Out of town visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

More than just the water gardens but they are why many people come here. Entry is by timed ticket due to their popularity and as a consquence there is the odd accasion where groups are a little larger than is comfortable or are "hurried along"
Having got the negatives out of the way it is a trip worth making and the gardens are magnificent. The water features and novelties are breathtaking.
The Palace is included in the price and, whilst being sparcely furnished, is well worth a visit.
The "Sound of Music" Summer House is a novelty but, unless you are a "S o M" addict is hardly noteworthy.
The walk up to the hillside folklore museum is well worth the effort.
Combined with the adjacent zoo this is well worth the time.

“A sight you cannot skip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

This is a sight you simply must visit! It will be the best and most memorable experience of your Salzburg stay. Don't be afraid to get wet, also don't believe for a minute that you will be able to escape the spray of the trick fountains. So, if you're a woman, carefully pick your garments for the day!

“The tour guide had as much fun as we did!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

We took the guided tour of the trick fountains with some friends and our kids. These are at the Hellbrunn Palace, which had been the prince's summer palace however many hundreds of years ago. The prince had all these trick fountains installed all over his palace and would host parties. He got a kick out of getting his guests all drunk, and then take them around the palace and have the trick fountains drench them unexpectedly.

Our tour guide had a great time showing us around, and catching us all by surprise with the fountains. I think he giggled as much as we did!

It was great fun and worth the price of admission.

“Great tour for kids of all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

This was an awesome tour. We used our Salzburg cards so the cost was covered! Our kids are ages 5,3,1 and we had a stroller with us. The tour was about 30 people and the guide did the entire tour in English and German.

The trick fountains were really need...my 5 yr old exclaimed "awesome" a few times! The tour took about 30-40 minutes and it was the right pace and had cool things to see.

Overall pleased! Make sure your kids go to the bathroom (by the entrance) before you go through the turnstiles there is no option along the way. Also if you need a snack before your tour starts the coffe shop outdoors by the entrance/ticket booth is reasonably priced (1-1.50 euro ice cream pops for the kids)
