What's not to like. Central to old Salzburg, stylish, Smeg mini fridge and Ulrika on reception. What an amazingly welcoming woman. Restaurant was also amazing and we are their both nights. Not a bad word to say about the place. Loved it so much and would definitely go back again. Bed comfy. TV had sound of music in every language.

Stayed in December for 2 nights
To start with, the lady who checked us in was just delightful. Helpful, kind and incredibly funny. A great welcome for this hotel.
But sadly, there were downsides:
- several times throughout our two night stay, we were greeted on our floor at the exit to the lift with either food or alcohol for the restaurant downstairs. I understand space is at a premium with such a small hotel, but it's really not a great look first thing in the morning
- equally, we were greeted first thing in the morning with kegs of beer being loaded and unloaded - this is what woke us up in the morning
- the car parking and access is not great. The lady who checked us in did her best to make this process seem simple and easy, but it is not.
- the chef. On the two occasions we saw him within the hotel he was rude and seem to take exception to the fact that we wanted to access the hallway to reach our room or leave the building.
All in all, the actual hotel deserves a 4.5, the welcome from reception and the room both being so delightful. Sadly the outside influences have marred what could have been a glorious little hotel. It makes us sad to have to downgrade this rating but we feel we didn't have a choice.
The good points:
- the bed is amazing! Slept really well all night
- the rooms are glorious. So beautifully decorated and designed
- the inside of the hotel is so nice. There is a lot of exposed original stone and it is just so lovely

We only got to stay here one night but wish we could have done more. This hotel was immaculate and we felt like we were royalty. The manager was incredibly gracious and helpful, the room was immaculate, and it had the best shower we have ever seen in Europe. Located right on one of the main shopping streets, it is easy to walk to any of the local sights. There is no on sight parking but the quality of this place made up for that inconvenience. We would definitely stay here again. Awesome wifi too.

I'd like to begin by thanking Ulrike and her staff for all of the attention way before we even made the reservation! Customer service is truly incomparable.

I chose Salzburg as a romantic holiday getaway destination for me and my fiancé., and after doing a thorough research and having such a good experience with SLH hotels, Hotel Goldgasse was my choice.

Upon arrival, the staff treated us like VIP and made us feel completely at home. The hotel is located in the true heart of Old Town Salzburg, just a few steps from the Christkindlmarkt and Church. This is a big pro because it saves so much time giving you easy access to all points of interest.

The hotel itself with only 16 rooms is truly very cozy and the rooms are spacious and super comfortable, some of them with a private balcony. Breakfast in bed is the way to go. I've never seen such a variety in options and they are also very accommodating with what you'd like to have served.

All in all, we spent beautiful moments here and can't wait to be back again. If you're into being pampered and feeling like royalty this is the place to book.

Dankeschön Hotel Goldgasse!

Our family enjoyed our visit to Salzburg immensely, no doubt largely due to the hospitality offered by the staff at Hotel Goldgasse and the high quality accommodations! We travelled with teenagers on their mid term break at the time, one of them needed study time. On the day of our checkout, the rest of our family enjoyed sightseeing while the one teenager studied in the sitting area of the hotel lobby and was treated like a member of the family from the friendly hotel staff.
