This hotel was in a great location off the Linzergasse and only 10 mins walk from the old town. Rooms were basic but very clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and could be eaten outside on the roof terrace. Take some earplugs for the church bells if you're a light sleeper! Very good value for Salzburg during the festival.

Room Tip: We had a superior room which was spacious, but our daughter's single corner room had even more space.

Such a great location, very close to everything. An easy walk from old town, new town, Mirabell gardens - everything! Spotless rooms with strong internet connection, a very generous breakfast, friendly staff who recommended things to do and places to eat etc.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning either a short or long stay in the area. I would definitely book again.

From the railway station the hotel can be reached by foot (aprox. 15 min), but as you probably have suitcases, then the bus is the choice.

This hotel is very well positioned, although it may not be easy to find from the first try.
However, there is an easier access through a passage directly from Linzergasse street.

Being in the second plan, there is a silent surrounding area. The hotel has the rooms oriented towards the parking only, as beside it there is the mountain rock as if the hotel is undercut in the mountain. It is built on several pillars, a very interesting concept.

Room – its size is large enough (per European standards), it has large clothes storage spaces, comfortable beds and on the floor there is parquet. The bathroom has actually two rooms, one for the toilet and one for the shower.

Reception guys – very nice, helpful whether you ask for an advice. They will tell you to take the key with you as at 11 p.m. the hotel door is closed and if you show up after this hour there is nobody to open it for you.

Breakfast: it is served at the top floor in a very nice place and there is even a terrace where you can stay outside admiring the city from above, in case the mornings aren’t too cold. The food is of good quality (vegetables, different types of salami, cheese and bread milk and cereals, and many, many others) – I liked it, was ok.

All is all, I think this is a good alternative in Salzburg and it really worth a try. No doubt, I recommend it.

Room Tip: Don't forget the key as after 11p.m. the hotel closes.

We looked for an inexpensive place within reasonable distance from train station. Indeed value for $ was very good. Rooms are big and clean (for this price range). Breakfast selection is ok (again for this money), however staff is a bit slow to replenish buffet. The view from breakfast terrace on the roof is nice. There is no AC in the hotel which was a problem since we happened to be there during hot days. The street is normally quiet (no car or pedestrian traffic) but in the morning a single person talking on a cellphone outside the hotel could wake you up! WiFi is only at the lobby, rooms supposedly have wired LAN but this is useless with an iPad. Staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. Location is not as bad as other reviewers mentioned, it is out of town center, true, but since historic town center is tiny it is hardly a problem. For people traveling by car: parking space is very limited!

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors! There is no AC so you will need to keep windows open. We were on first but I hope it should be quieter higher up.

This was one of the cheaper hotels in Salzberg and it was still ERO$71 for one night, for one person. It was very hard to find and no one I asked in the streets knew where to find this hotel or the street it was in. I was not a happy camper after woundering the streets of ages trying to find this hotel.

Once I did get there the girl at reception said that check in was not until 1500, even if it was 1430 and I could leave my bag in a pile by reception. I was hot, knacked, sore shoulder from carring my bag and sore feet, from walking all over town. I all most lost it. The staff were very nice to go and see if my room was ready ad I could go straight in. Thank goodness it was.

The room was clean, I had a double room and chilled for a while before going to explore Salzburg. The room was on the first floor and was right above the reception area. It was not too bad until someone started to vacume the reception at 0600 the next morning. It is very close to some of the major attractions, fortress and Mozats house, nice bars and resturants a street away. The breakfast was good and is included in the price. If you do not expect anything too fancy you will not be disapointed.

Room Tip: Get a back facing one as the church bells go at all hours.
