I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend during a weekend break to Salzburg and we were both extremely pleased. The hotel itself is nice and clean, the room is light and airy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great considering we only paid £55 per night (which includes the breakfast buffet). The only negative is that it's a little far out from the old town, but easily walkable in 10-15 mins. Overall, very pleased and would come again.

This hotel is only ten minutes walk from the train (although you might need directions from the information desk) and five to ten minutes walk to the town centre. The Lasserhof is what you would expect for the price and the rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff were courteous and helpful and the breakfast was of an acceptable standard. The only drawback for us was that we were there in hot weather (35 deg. C) and the rooms are NOT air conditioned. Although a pedestal fan was provided, we had to open the windows at nights to cool the room down which took quite a long time. Any other time of the year this would, of course, not be a problem. We would stay there again (in cooler weather).

We stayed in this hotel in April and it was a very good experience. Luckily we got the attic room which is big and spacious. The hotel is close to the train station but no noise could be heard . The beds are very comfortable and staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is great value for the traveller who is on a sightseeing trip as it is within walking distance of all the tourist spots.

Had great expectations when booking our stay at this hotel coz of all the good reviews. We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel ( aug 20 - aug 24) and it was a horror. Must never stay during the summer. During the winter it could be better. Anyway, the room was small, bathroom even smaller. We stayed in room 42 and the wash basin was clogged. There is no AC and me and my husband couldn't sleep well for 4 nights. The staff were not that pleasant. The staff who puts out the breakfast was grumpy everyday (definitely not what you expect to see in the morning). Breakfast was soo limited (hardly much selection), It would be the same everyday. The only thing that was ok was that its a 10 mins walk from the railway station. The area is peaceful and there are some good restaurants nearby, we especially liked Pitter Garten (5 mins walk from the hotel).

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during our stay in Salzburg in August 2012. The room was small with a nice balcony. The bathroom was ok but there were no switches. So the lights turn off within a couple of seconds even if you are inside! There was no A/C in the room. But the hotel staff provided us a fan, but still the room was warm. Probably coz the weather was a bit hot this time.As per the reviews on this website, we assumed that the breakfast would be quite good. But there was hardly any choices. It was the same menu everyday with limited food. The guy at the breakfast area looked gloomy everyday. My 8 month old son even tried to grab his attention with his little tricks and nah.. this guy seemed least interested.lol!
The room is ok and the hotel is close to the station and in a quiet area. There are a couple of nice restaurants closeby.

The Lasserhoff hotel is a very short walk to the centre of Salzburg and the Mirabelle Gardens. Our room was a good size, but had no air conditioning and got very hot. Fortunately we had a corner room and were able to open the windows and get a breeze. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. The only downside was that our TV did not get good reception. There is a parking building over the road but as we arrived on a Sunday, it was closed when we arrived. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is very near the train station at the north end of the new town but we drove so this didn't matter. The staff provided a parking pass to the garage across the street so parking was not a problem. The rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet was very good. But the street noise is quite loud during the night and the internet access was very random. It was also a bit far in regards to walking to and from the new/old town areas. We did discover a great Slovenian restaurant about 2 blocks away called Pisceria and there is a laundry about 8 minutes walk away that provides full-service washing.
