Five minutes away from the train station by Taxi, and 15-20 mins walk to the historic city center, Neighborhood very quite, easy & beautiful route to walk to city center.
Staff are very helpful, very friendly, room safe was low battery and locked our stuff inside but the managed to open it same night.

Room was on the 2nd floor at the hotel, a view on the street, clean and neat, Nespresso machine with no choices of coffee (but wasn't really a big deal)

Breakfast was great, more than what we expected from a small hotel, seats out in the small back garden were beautiful.

We where checking out at 05:30 to catch a train, they prepared for us a couple of sandwiches and juice boxes, was very kind of them.

Room Tip: Hotel Rooms where great, didn't try the villa

Salzburg is a lovely city and the Hotel Auersperg is a lovely hotel a short walk away from the centre of the city. Our room was extremely comfortable, well appointed, bright and spacious. As other reviewers have pointed out, the breakfasts were first rate, with choices to suit most tastes; service was first class and, weather permitting, breakfast outside on the boarded patio is a real treat. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in Salzburg, and especially liked this hotel. The breakfast was a real treat, with tons of items to choose from and very good quality food.

We also really enjoyed a quick meal we had at the bar at night-- super tasty panini that was very reasonably priced.

The one minor complaint I have is that we found the front desk staff to sometimes act like they didn't want to be bothered and/or were slightly unfriendly.

We stayed in the villa - the room was brilliantly designed, decorated and appointed - best I've ever stayed in. Breakfast (and serving staff) was also fantastic. Reception staff typical for the region, but certainly not rude or unhelpful. Overall fantastic hotel.

We took a taxi from the train station to the hotel as we got our directions confused and thought it was a bit further away than we cared to trek with our suitcases. It really wasn't that far after all. The hotel is located on a very quiet street on Auerspergstraße, about a 10 minute walk to Mirabella Gardens and what's considered the new shopping & restaurant area of Salzburg (on the east side of the river). The very busy and vibrant "Old Town" is on the other side of the river. We really enjoyed our small but cozy room packed with very comfortable amenities....comfortable bedding & wonderful feather pillows, fantastic shower head and towel heater racks in the bathroom. Great lighting. Just wonderful! Lovely windows overlooking the back of the property, very quiet and cozy. A coffee/espresso machine (fee per cup) and minibar in room. All persons working the desk were knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant had an absolutely amazing full buffet breakfast, coffee, etc. all included in the room rate. The best breakfasts we had during our entire 16 day trip throughout 4 countries in Europe. Unbelievable! Salzburg was one of my favorite cities and I am looking forward to a return to Austria in the near future. You will be delighted to stay in this outstanding hotel!!!

Room Tip: Our room was in the Villa, a separate location one building over from the actual hotel. You may want to inquire the difference between locations. It might be more convenient to be in the hotel if you wish to use the restaurant facility a lot. The internet connection was more reliable in the hotel than the villa.
