The staff, as previously mentioned by other travellers, were extremely helpful, curteous and pleasant. The receptionist presented us a map upon arrival, and marked off different tourist attractions as well as local resturants he recommended.

The rooms were a moderate size, very clean and were modern. The hotel is located a short walk away from Mirrabelplatz, where many tours use as a meeting point. Also, when we mentioned to the receptionist we were doing the Sound of Music tour with Panorama tours, he arranged a pick up bus for us, which was very convinient.

From the moment my wife & I arrived at the Hotel Mozart and until we left, we were looked after by a staff second to none, from check - in to the breakfast girls, from getting the low down on where to eat and where to go for the best deals and fantastic views of a beautiful city. The Mozart is a very friendly family run hotel who certainly went that extra mile to be helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable with city views. The buffet breakfast was always lovey and fresh with a healthy selection of cereals & yoguarts together with fruit.
Our 4 day stay went in to quickly but we will certainly be going back and when we do, it will be the Hotel Mozart.

Stayed here for a few nights - got a great rate on their website which included a night free. Single room was perfectly adequate (my picture doesn't do it justice) and the bathroom was large and modern. Bed was soft and comfortable which was a nice change compared to the firm beds i found in other European hotels. All staff very friendly and helpful. I walked from the train station to the hotel which took around 15mins.

A really nice Italian restaurant only a couple of minutes up the road called Da Alberto (or similiar) - had the best pizza ever. Also a spar supermarket down the road for snacks.

I would definitely stay at Hotel Mozart again, and Salzburg is a wonderful, enchanting city.

Check in was good. Hotel is handy to most things. Breakfast was fine but pretty basic. Rooms are older as to be expected. Basically a good enough hotel that provides a standard level of accommodation without any frills.

Hotel Mozart offers incredible value for money in a City that has an excellent choice of hotels in the 4 - 5 star market. We have stayed in Salzburg many times in the past 6-years, both Winter and Summer trips, staying in several different hotels, this was our first stay at Hotel Mozart (booked through Octopus - £62.50 B&B room per night). I emailed the hotel prior to arrival explaining it was one of our friend's Birthday during our weekend break and requested a high floor (as recommended on previous TripAdvisor reviews), subject to availability. Received a prompt response from the Front Office Manager, Bruno Jerkovic stating he would do his best and asking our arrival time, which was early via Ryanair.
We arrived at the hotel at 10.15am, Friday morning to be greeted by Bruno welcoming us by name and a gentle rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for our friend. Not only were we provided 2 excellent rooms on the top (5th) floor but the rooms had been cleaned and were ready for us. Bruno said as we had told our arival time these rooms were cleaned first for us. In particular room 503 is a corner room with plenty of light, mountain and some City views and a lounge seating area, parquet flooring and very spacious. Throughout the weekend the hotel was kept warm, clean and most welcoming.
The breakfast was continental, fresh bread, rolls, croissants, cold meats, cheese, cereals, freshly cut fruit, juices, etc. Tea served in heavy sterling silver type pots but be careful they are very good heat conductors and hence will burn your hands, suggest napkin useage to pick up!
Very good location in a safe and clean area of town, 5-minutes walk (turn right) to 'Fingerlos' cafe/restaurant, excellent good value snacks and cakes. Strongly recommend, 'Triangel' restaurant in the Old Town, where we have eaten on several trips and always received great service and food, again both Summer and Winter times. Also emailed the Triangel before leaving England to book a table and explain the 'Birthday' reason for the trip (Reality: - any excuse to visit Salzburg, particularly as the Advent Markets had just started - fabulous). Franz Gensbichler emailed back to confirm the booking. Strongly recommend booking as this is a small restaurant that is very popular with locals. We arrived 8pm on the Friday to once again be greeted with 'Birthday' wishes and a complimentary glass of bubbly for us all (x4), every other table was occupied. Despite a full restaurant we received excellent service throughout and a nice touch were asked if we would like to take a break after our starters before taking our mains, why do others not ask this, usually there is a feeling of, 'let's turn the tables as quickly as possible, to get more sittings through the door'.
Will definitely stay at the Hotel Mozart and eat at the Triangel again, thank you to Bruno and Franz for listening and for quality service.

Great location, comfortable and spacious room, good service, yummy breakfast - what's not to like?

ROOM: Although original reason for picking this hotel was availability (everything else seemed to have been booked at a time), it turned out to be a really good choice. Based on some of the previous reviews i have requested a corner room at a time of booking. We got a corner room at the top floor and loved the size of it and the great views. It was so pleasant in fact, that one night we opted for dining in our room (got a bunch of tasty treats and a bottle of whine from a local market). The beds were really comfortable, the cleaning impeccable, and we had plenty of closet space.

LOCATION: Loved it. In fact i was so happy that we didn't opt for staying in the heart of old town (too loud with too many tourists for my taste). Mozart is only a few blocks away from all the action, yet provides a much needed piece and quiet at the end of a busy day. Not to mention it's steps away from good restaurants and cafes, as well as a short walk to Mirabell Park. Next time i'm in Salzburg i'll certainly opt for a location like such again.

SERVICE: In my experience was great. All receptionists were friendly and very helpful. Gave great recommendations, and never seemed bothered by our many requests. Made us feel welcomed and relaxed.

BREAKFAST: Delicious and plenteous with many good choices. Yes, you do have to pay extra for it, but considering other options (and prices) in Salzburg it is a really good deal. I would definitely recommend.

ADVICE: When you check in they give you a restaurant recommendation list, which is golden. We've tried half of the places from the list, and loved every one of them.

Get that Salzburg card as soon as you arrive - it really does pay off.

For a relaxing drink/coffee with the best view my vote goes to restaurant/bar at the Museum der Moderne Mönchsberg up on the hill. In my opinion much nicer then Stein Hotel terrace.

Also if you are thinking of a day trip in a good weather, try both Untersberg mountain and Schloss Hellbrunn Gardens. We did both in one day with plenty of time to spare. Bus #25 will take you to both.
