“Friendly Staff, GREAT Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2014

The location was a little bit of a walk from old town Salzburg (10-15 min), but it was a pretty & nice walk! We crossed the bridge to walk to Salzburg every evening for dinner & strolling through the beautiful streets, but the side of the river the hotel is located on has plenty to see as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! They provided us with a great map of the city that we used to find restaurants for dinner and navigate the streets. The rooms were comfortable - nothing special, but we didn't spend much time in our rooms, so it was more than enough! The breakfast was really great! Of all the hotels we stayed at during our Europe trip, Hotel Mozart had the best selection, and it was a great way to start our busy, activity-filled days! Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, the food was good, and it was quiet at night so we slept well!

This is not a 5 star hotel so there are few "amenities". However, it is in a great location (a quiet neighbourhood away from the city centre but with everything still within easy walking distance), our room was very comfortable and clean and the staff (the excellent Rene and Bruno in particular) were fantastic. We'd certainly go back.

This hotel was the most roomy that we stayed in on this trip. I booked online and requested a room with a view and we got the best room in the hotel. We felt like royalty! It was a ten minute walk to the city center and the concierges in the front were so helpful! No complaints!

Very friendly service. But the room as well as bathrooms were a tad cramped and small . Our bathroom and loo were seperate which was really convenient. The staff were very helpful and guided us to get to the sights. We managed to do Untersberg and Helbrun castle on our own with their guidance. A short walk to Mirabel gardens and Mozart Residence. The old town is not too far. Quite a few patisseries and places to eat nearby. Quiet neighbourhood. But rooms are not air conditioned and it's a little hot in summer.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It has a great location. The staff is just fantastic and provide wonderful service. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Wifi is good. The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The AC was great in August and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Stayed here for four nights at start of August. Although on the same size of town as the train station, it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel. However, on leaving, we took a local bus from close to the front of the hotel back to the train station and this worked better. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the bridge over to the old town, most of which is through a pedestrian zone. There is a Spar store nearby which is useful for buying water and snacks, but it does close early - around 7pm.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The fan provided was effective at keeping the room cool, as were the window blinds. Wi-fi generally worked well. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower seal wasn't great and led to a wet bathroom floor.

Staff were very pleasant and we were given a map and help with getting to the centre of town when we arrived, as well as tips about what was going on in the Festival & brochures for day-trips. The hotel also provides umbrellas for use against the heavy showers.

We didn't have breakfast as our room rate didn't include it, so we decided to go into town, rather than pay €12 each. It is easy to find places to have breakfast nearby.

All-in-all, a pleasant stay. It's just a shame that it wasn't a bit closer to the old town.

More like a bed and breakfast, this hotel is small and simple but meets the basic needs. For 145 Euros, plus 30 Euros for an extra child bed, we stayed in a "triple room" for a total of 175 Euros/night.

We were very pleased with the staff's top notch service and attentiveness. Rene and the other gentleman at the front desk were always gracious and greeted us warmly. It rained both days we were in Salzburg. Rene always reminded us to grab an umbrella as we headed out in the morning (very helpful!). When we didn't feel like braving the rain one night, he suggested we order dinner to the room. He phoned in our order and a scrumptious meal was delivered promptly to the hotel. My daughter had her 10th birthday during our stay, and when requested, the management kindly ordered a beautiful cake so we could celebrate in our room.

Breakfast was a nice assortment of mostly cold items but elegantly prepared and presented. The coffee was WONDERFUL. I could drink it all day long!

Location is in the outer part of Old Town, but walking distance to most everything. Rooms were average and could use some refreshing. Overall a comfortable and happy stay at Hotel Mozart. Due to its name, it could use a piano in the lobby area, but they did give us a lovely Mozart Holiday CD upon our departure. We will always have fond memories of this hotel and its staff.

Room Tip: My free wi-fi code didn't work for me, but could have been my device.
