We spent 3 nights at this hotel as part of a 2 centre 14 night stay in Austria. The NH Salzburg City is a modern, contemporary designed hotel. We had a triple room which was not large but the size was ok for a 3 night stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a good, quiet night stay. They were also very clean.

The breakfast was lovely, we did not eat in the hotel (with so many restaurants nearby), so cannot comment on this.

The location of the hotel is excellent, you are within a few minutes walk of the main street in the new town and all the sights and attractions are within an easy walk from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here.

Hotel is just OK, rooms are just as simple as they can be and is not worth the price. Parking is small but good thing is that staff can find solutions when it is full. Breakfast is buffet only and it is not possible to have just a coffee. You have to go outside.

We spent 3 nights in the NH Salzburg during a really busy week (the hotel was completely booked). The hotel is very modern and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was expensive but really good (one of the few place we indulged in a Hotel breakfast). The location is wonderful - a lovely and short walk to the old city and to the Mirabel Gardens. The room wasn't huge but was nicely appointed with comfortable beds.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and were very happy with our stay. We had two rooms which were not on the same floors even though we had e-mailed them 6 weeks before to ask for rooms beside each other. However, the hotel rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was a long desk with a mini bar and the room also had a safe. The cleaning staff must have rushed through one of the rooms as there was no bath mat or second towel left on the second day. The location is great because it is a block away from a street of shops leading to the tourist area. There were lots of restaurants an easy walk from the hotel. Overall I was happy with our experience with this hotel.

I stayed here one night -- after arriving from the States on a long flight. The next day I would be leaving for a 2-week cycling tour and wanted something for my first night that was convenient and where I knew I would sleep well. The hotel is modern and feels more like a business hotel than a tourist hotel. If you are looking for something that is quaint and with character, this isn't it. But if you want something comfortable, with all of the amenities, then this is a great choice. It is just off of the Linzergasse -- a pedestrian street on the opposite side of the river from the old town. But it is just a 10-minute walk over the bridge to the Getreidegasse. It was fairly quiet, the beds were very comfortable, and they had drapes that were heavy enough to keep the room dark. I think the only thing I didn't like is that the rate does not include breakfast and they charged 16 euros if you wanted it. 16 euros is a lot for breakfast -- especially when there are several Backerei in the area where you can get breakfast for about 6-7 euros. The hotel has a nice lobby lounge, bar and restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.
