Description: The cafe terrace on the banks of the River Salzach is a perfect spot for coffee in spring and summer whilst the sumptuous interior ineffably blends the old world Sacher charm with modern comfort. As well as our much-loved desserts there’s also a variety of delicious savoury dishes to enjoy. At the Sacher Confiserie next-door to the cafe you can buy Original Sacher specialities and have them sent to friends and family members anywhere in the world.

“Pleasant experience you have to try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

A welcome respite from the rain outside and most enjoyable. It's not cheap at €16 for 2 coffees and 2 cakes and if truth be told the coffee is ordinary but the cakes are sublime. Great for people watching from the local elderly ladies there for the morning to the elderly couple tucking into hearty sausages for lunch. Service polite and efficient. Suggest you try out the toilets in the main foyer of the hotel as on the way there are numerous photographs of all the famous people who have stayed there over the years. Not an everyday kind of place but worth one visit at least.

“Tasty coffee and sacher cake”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Very delicious whipped cream coffee and great Sacher cake which is one of the most famous Austrian cuisine. Fancy restaurant, good service and very close to the old town. It's a bit expensive.

“Good food - impatient waitress”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

This was our first visit to Cafe Sacher. The food was good, the waitress behaved irritated when serving tourists. She could have tried a bit harder.

A must for an afternoon break- a Sacher torte and coffee or hot chocolate. Wonder atmosphere and prompt service.

“Yum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

We couldn't walk by without buying a mini sacher tort as a snack. Great, fresh and only 2.50 euros. The staff speaks many languages and happy to package your dessert to-go.
