My wife and I stayed here for three nights in June. Frau Steiner warmly greeted us and showed us to our room upon arrival. The room was lovely with a fantasic view across farm fields to the nearby mountains. Everything was clean and although the bathroom was small, the room was larger than most we've stayed in. There is a computer with internet access in one of the common rooms for use by the guests.
Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices, including meats, cheese, eggs, cereals and bread along with juices and coffee.
The house is located in a quiet area not far from the center of Salzburg. A bus stop is only a few minutes walk from the house and there are several place nearby to eat dinner.
Frau Steiner was the best hostess a traveller could have. She speaks English very well and can help you with any question you might have about Salzburg and the surrounding area. She will book side tours for you and she also has the Salzurger card, which gives you access to the bus system and free admission to most attractions in the city. We would highly recommend Haus Steiner to anyone wishing to visit Salzburg.

We enjoyed staying at Haus Steiner in 2005 and decided this year we wanted to stay a month to enjoy again the tranquil setting. We had a car and took one-day trips suggested by Frau Steiner and Frommer's Austria's Best-Loved Driving Tours. We agree with the other recommendations and liked our stay for many reasons. To start with, Haus Steiner was pleasant, comfortable, interesting, and convenient. The pleasant atmosphere began each morning with Frau Steiner greeting us at morning coffee and breakfast. We talked about what we did the day before and what we planned to do the coming day. She added information about the area and provided ideas of what to see and how to see it. We will likely stay at Haus Steiner again.

We stayed for two nights during our recent visit to Salzburg and this accommodation was everything we could hope for. We were greeted upon our arrival and all our questions were answered. Our room was clean and much nicer than we anticipated. We went to dinner across the street and enjoyed a wonderful meal at a beer garden that was recommended to us. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful. I was able to access my e-mail over the internet verz easily. The best thing of all was how peaceful it was staying out in the country with the horses and cows. The night air was quiet and we slept more soundly than we had in the past weeks in Vienna and Prague.

Staying with Rosemarie out in the country was wonderful! The mountains in the background were beautiful and Haus Steiner was a perfect bed & breakfast. The rooms were good sized and the breakfast was delicious. The free internet and Rosemarie's tips for sightseeing and eating were great. Even though it was about 20 minutes from downtown Salzburg it still was very easy to use the bus stop right near her home. All in all, a delightful place to stay in Salzburg!

My wife and I spent a month in Salzburg. We were fortunate to have had a friend recommend Haus Steiner to us. We rented one of the small apartments for a month. We had a kitchen, dinning and living area. Also a separate large bedroom with a king size bed. The bus stop was w/i easy walking distance. We bought a month bus pass and travelled happily around. Also, Rosemary, the owner of Haus Steiner loaned us bicycles and we enjoyed the many bicycle paths. Rosemary was always available to help us but never intrusive. We could see Unterberg from our back balcony. A beautiful stay.
