Ramada offers standard 4 star business hotel niveau in Salzburg. The hotel is located just at the railway station, about 10-15 minutes walking distance to the centre and approx 20-25 minutes to the castle. The breakfast is worth to mention as it is served on the top floor (level 6) in a stylish bar and restaurant with great view on the city, the castle and the surrounding mountains. Food selection and variety was OK, the staff was very helpful and enthusiastic. In all other aspects the hotel is really good and what you would normally expect, but nothing more.

Spent two nights here during my visit to Salzburg. This hotel was located next to the train station and the bus/tram terminal, with taxis available in front of the building. It was also connected to a shopping plaza with fast food facilities around. Very convenient.

Our room was pretty new, bright, clean and comfortable. Simple interior décor in creamy white, light grey and light brown color. No nonsense design and good use of space that created a rather relaxed atmosphere. Washroom with shower was also neat and clean. No fancy amenities but things were precisely what you needed.

Buffet breakfast was served in the restaurant on the sixth floor with a nice view of the Alps and the castle. It was a regular breakfast buffet and I liked the fresh fruit and the cheese. In the first evening, we took a walk in the neighborhood and enjoyed a typical Austrian dinner with local beer at the hotel restaurant of the Crown Plaza Hotel, which was not too far from Ramada.
There was no refrigerator or mini-bar in the room, but we were lucky that everything went well during our stay. Considering the room rate, package with buffet breakfast, and the comfort level, this was a hotel of good value. It was better than those that I paid two to three times more during my visit in some other big cities in Europe.

Located near the main trainstation in Salzburg , the hotel offer good transit location ( only by train) and , also, the local "near train station " not friendly "fauna" ( dronk people, noisy youngs, and a lot of fast food chaines ).
I travelled by train to Münich so, it was ok for 2 nigts but for visiting Salzburg no way to book hier.
By phone no answer regarding my booking, nore by e mail (!!!) , bad service by check inn ( alone girl, not educated , serving beers instead of helping to check inn) , difficult to drive in the closed place where the hotel is located, no information about reserved (!?) parking places in the , with the shopping center Forum1 , commun garage.
Rooms are pretty small, no flair at all, no minibar ( !!?? 4 stars ??) and noisy due to the location. Not recommendedat all , if you want to have a nice stay in acity who loosed the Mozart flair and spirit,

Room Tip: No good rooms at all, I believe ( only if you love trains !!!).

Good location just next to NB train and bus station. Room is clean but small.
Modern design and comfortable. There are always only 1 staff on duty at the reception. I waited for around 20 mins to check in. Reception staff don't have enough knowledge to guide you. I just asked how to travel to a popular destination near Salzburg, Hallstatt. But seems they don't know this place. Breakfast is fine, it would be worth if included in the room price. I may consider to choose another hotel next time.

We stayed her for 2 nights on the 4th and 5th of April. The hotel is beside the main train station which is also where most of the buses go to, its about a 20 minute walk to the city centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was the standard continental variety of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals and fruits. There was a good choice of each.

On the second night at about 18:00, when using the washhand basin, the stopper would not release (its one of the type you often see in a hotel whereby you push a metal pin behind the tap which releases the stopper). The basin was full of water so obviously we could not use it until it was cleared. We reported this to reception who said they would send someone to look at it. The cleaning lady arrived up a couple of minutes later and did her best to release the stopper using basic utensils (knife and fork). She spent about 15 minutes trying but unfortunately was unable to. The manager on duty then rang to say they could not do anything and we would have to wait until the morning, I asked about being given another room and was told the hotel was fully booked.

We felt that this was totally unacceptable service from a large hotel chain. If they could not arrange for someone to clear the sink or put us in another room, they should have arranged to put us up in another hotel of similar standard. We went down to the reception to complain, the reception staff seemed indifferent and actually appeared to pretend not to understand English (despite speaking fluently to us when checking in). Eventually the manager on duty went up and unblocked the sink himself. By the time we got to go out, it was 20:10, over two hours since we first reported the incident.

We mentioned again when checking out the next morning to see about either getting a nominal discount or at least an acknowledgement of how bad the service had been. Again the reception staff used the 'I dont understand' routine.

The lack of service and apparent indifference of the staff spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant stay but on principle would put me off staying in a Ramada in the future.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. Firstly you can park under the station, have to follow the sign and you will find it easily. If you go down enought, you can reach the hotel directly from the garage with a lift.
The reception staf was not so kind, but given clear answer for our every questions. The room was nicly decorated and cozy with a big double bed. Despite of the crowded surrounding area the night was calm and peaceful. The buffet breakfest is worth for the price.
Maybe the hotel is not in the best location, but close to the city center 15 min on foot, and 5 min by bus. Good to know that the bus stationn is at next to the hotel, so you can easily reach all part of the city.

Room Tip: Ask room from the higher floor.

We stayed in the hotel for three days counting our arrival and leave days. When we came to the reception the staff there was very friendly and welcoming, they informed us about the hotel, the city and what the hotel is offering you. When we came in our (non-smoking) room we were surprised by the size of it, it was very small. However it was very clean. The bathroom was also very small but it was very nice and modern. There was a big sink, a toilet, a shower and a hair dryer. What shocked us was that there was no body lotion in the shower just shampoo and conditioner in one. Also there was no bar soap next to the sink but only shampoo, so we washed our hands with shampoo. The usual small kit ( ear sticks, cotton pads, sewing kit) was also missing. Also a big shock was that there were no slippers or bathrobe, you had to purchase these in the reception for 5 €. A very unpleasant surprise was that there was no minibar in the room but only a big vending machine on the corridor which for a four star hotel is unacceptable!

Also when we were relaxing in our room after a busy day we wanted to watch TV but we couldn't as there were mostly austrian channels which we didn't understand as we don't speak german. There were only about two english channels and one of them was about economics and stock markets which we really don't care about.

The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were soft and everything was cozy, however for some it was really hard to sleep as the air condition was constantly on and was found very irritating at night. The good thing was that you could fully open the windows and get some fresh air. Our room was facing the train station, we were pleasantly surprised that there was absolutely no noise from the trains.

The mornings in Ramada were very relaxing and calm. The breakfast was every day the same but still very good. There was a wide variety of cheese and ham, also a big choice of bread. There was orange and grapefruit juice, next to a coffee machine where you could also make chocolate milk for your children. But there was one thing that could be changed in the dining room, the carpet was getting very dirty in some parts.

The SPA was very confusing in some parts as the reception desk was empty and the lights were off, so we had to get everything our selfs. The lockers in the changing room were small, what was bad is that the changing room was for both men and women. You had to bring coins to the SPA in order to have a locker. There were many towels but again no bathrobes.

Overall our visit in Ramada, Salzburg was good, but the hotel definitely doesn't deserve four stars.

Room Tip: It doesn't really matter in this hotel which room you have, I believe all the rooms are the same...
