“A conference hotel out of town”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is a complex rather than a hotel and appears more like a congress centre. The rooms are comfortable and there is plenty of parking. The breakfast service and choice are high quality and there is a restaurant (the same place) which has a limited menu and closes at 10pm. On one night I was there it had been let out and was closed. There is a bar which is primarily used by locals and has a good ambience.

The hotel is rathjer lacking in atmosphere and in some ways services. Night service and similar services are not generally available. Internet is rather expensive and the reception is not a comfortable area to sit. This is next to a main road and convenient if you are driving around the area - it is out of town and around 15 euro per trip to get into town. One wanring - on sunday Klagenfurt is essentially closed!

This is a massive hotel about a 15 min taxi ride from Klaenfurt airport, costing about Euro 20. It's across the street from Minimundus. It's about 10 minutes from the local train station and the taxi from there cost Euro 13.

Before my trip, I emailed asking about distances from transport and costs and received a prompt response with the details I'd requested. Check-in and out was efficeint.

The room has a separate w.c. then the shower is in a cubicle beside the wash basin in the bedroom, with a divider to separate the bed. It was a bit like showering in a cupboard, Ikea-style, but actually the shower was great.

The bed was comfortable, the room was fairly clean but there were marks and stains on the woodwork throughout, plus the chair was worn and damaged which detracted from the overall effect. Requested a quiet room with a view but didn't get either. Asked to check-out an hour late but was told this wasn't possible. Used the shower in the pool area instead.

The spa area was beautiful! I swam in the evening and because the pool is next to the lake there were insects - the doors are open and lights on and I was bitten several times on my face while I swam which left some nasty bites.

The breakfast was buffet-style and there was plenty of chioce.

The hotel is nice, spa is lovely. it's an expensive hotel to stay in/ drink at etc. An impersonal place but I would go back simply for the pool.

Room Tip: I requested quiet room with a view but got one over-looking car park beside the lift.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is good, with scenic and safe options for taking a walk. The rooms were comfortable, the staff courteous and helpful, and the restaurant had good dinners and a really good breakfast. Couple of things to note, the air conditioning makes it a nice environment, although not a cool one. There is a comforter on the bed, but no top sheet. Even though the bed and room were quite comfortable, being there in the heat of Summer made it a little more challenging to sleep. In hindsight, a call down to the front desk may have alleviated this issue (but who thinks of that when you're trying to sleep? :-))

Definitely would stay there again.

Well-kept resort in a beautiful resort town. Rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast, which wsa included in our room rate, was fantastic with a plethora of choices and lots of fresh fruit. Pool area was nice and bar was hopping. Only downside was Internet service which constantly required signing in and it seemed like there was a new user name and password required each day. Nevertheless, overall it was a very good experience.

Great hotel, excelent service in a beautiful location and a view to the mountains. Hotel by the lake with pool and spa included. Just 5 minutes from the Strandbad am Wörthersee. The Gig bar inside the hotel is an excelent place to relax at the end of the day or after dinner.

We stayed here at a rather busy period for the hotel Lindner Seepark as the Dalai Lama and his entourage were also there- along with the "men in black" security patrolling all day and night!

We booked online 1 single and 1 double room but they had booked 3 rooms for us, which took some sorting out and convincing. Breakfast for 18 Euro was a bit of a rip off, considering the selection of wonderful food in the city centre.

The room was modern but annoyingly looked better than it was practical- for example the shower room had nowhere to put shampoo or soap etc. The sink unit was not separated from the room, so if you went to the loo in the middle of the night, washing hands meant disturbing others sleeping.

The location is fantastic and a really pleasant 20 minutes walk by the canal takes you to the city centre or is easily accessible by buses.

It was also very quiet and no noise could be heard in the room, even though we were directly above the entrance and that was going off with the visit of his holiness. There was a clever screen at the window which allowed the breeze in when the window was open.

The spa was lovely and the swimming was relaxing and had a nice view of the park.

A smart, modern hotel in a which makes an excellent base for exploring Carinthia. It seems understaffed on week days though with very slow bar and restaurant service. Asking for a drink or to pay for one begins to feel like an imposition. Good spa and excellent breakfast. Worth hiring a bike to explore the town and lakeside area.

Room Tip: Ask for a lakeside view when booking
