“Great Vegetarian Restaurant”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We have been here twice since I arrived in Graz for a 3 week vacation. Ginko has great vegetarian food. You can tell that they care about serving healthy and tasty food. They have many options including salads, hot dishes, coffee, and deserts. I hope to return there for lunch again before the end of my trip. Ginko is a must, when in Graz!

“Healthy food, at last (incidentaly vegetarian)”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Ginko is a cheap, very very nice place hidden behind Jakominiplatz. The food is always cooked with heart and soul - so yes, vegetarian but mostly very healthy. Lots of green leaf veggies, some dishes a bit more elaborated but in general I always found excellent food. Sweets are definitely excellent.

“Good food, sold by weight”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

the restaurant is located in the city enter , and quite famous. It is a vegetarian restaurant. They have a buffet. The menu is extensive. Lots of salads , pasta ,Indian dishes , and a few vegan desserts.
For the information of strict vegetarians, they consider egg in vegetarian , so one has to ask for vegan food , they will show the items without eggs.

“For veggies, vegans and also normal eaters”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

Ginko is very centrally located and is open from noon until 21 hrs. The food is served buffet style and the price is determined by the scale at the cashier's desk. The food is vegan or vegetarian with a fair amount of Indian influence. The interior is modern and pleasant but during the lunch hour rush it can be very crowded. If you go a little later there will be plenty to eat - they keep freshly made dishes coming all day - and you will have more room. When it is warm, there is pleasant outdoor seating with an awning to provide shade and save you from having to run inside if it starts to rain (might not be enough protection for a thunderstorm or downpour, tho'). People who do not eat vegan or veggie will surely also be able to put together a tasty and interesting meal. The food is fresh and prepared to high standards, and the prices are moderate. While I can't say that the food is typically Austrian, I can say that the restaurant is almost exclusively visited by Austrians with lots of students and young adults or families, but plenty of older people, too. Many people take their children along. The Birkenstock types are strongly represented but it is a place where anyone can feel comfortable and enjoy a healthy meal.

“Very tasty vegetarian dishes!”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

I like this restaurant quite a lot. I go there almost on a daily basis! There is a great choice of salads offered, some of them spiced and oiled, some left to you to put oil and whatever you want. I like that they have flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesam seeds and other seeds separately offered. They have nice cakes too, made from integral flour, some without added sugar, vegan ones... all kinds of cakes! If your intention is to eat healthy and enjoy your food at the same time, Ginko is a very good choice! Restaurant is nothing fancy, of self service type, simple, appropriate for everyday lunch. The price depends on the amount you take, the scale is used to measure, 100g costs 1.25 euros. So, together with a drink you should be under 10 euros, a great value for a good food!
