“A cutting edge collection of technology as art.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

I visited the Ars Electronica during the yearly festival with which it shares its name.
The museums collection covers an impressive range of advanced robotics, interactive installations, bio-tech and its consequences, numerous labs covering advanced engineering techniques such as 3d printing, laser cutting but also bio-engineering.
Conversation starters for all ages.
At night time you can control the museums facade lighting up in many colours through a panel outside down by the river.

“Mind blowing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

We decided to visit the Centre after seeing the amazing light-show which lights up the building every night. The concept of the Centre is the use of technology as an art form, this may sound pretentious, but in reality it isn't. The exhibits are very hands-on and cater for all ages. There is also a working science lab which encourages visitor participation as well.

“Ask for an English guided tour of AEC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Have been on several guided tours of AEC in English and these tend to be much smaller than the German speaking ones so you get much more attention. Regular programmes [normally weekly] in Deep Space the multi media centre on the same level as the main entrance are very interesting. As well as the guided tour which is just an introduction you can spend many many hours with all the hands on experience. Explanations are mostly bilingual but some are only in German. There are normally plenty of staff around to ask questions and to clarify.
