Hallstatt is fantastic and really worth the effort of going there - it is a two and a half hour train trip from Salzburg. The market square is stunning. Traditional style buildings which are truly charming. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the area. Simply brilliant.
A beautiful small town along the lake between high mountains. Beautiful scenery fresh air and nice people makes this place a must visit.
The central square is really quite picturesque and in the centre is a lovely water fountain perfect for the little ones to cool off with a bit of water play. Surrounded by cafes and shops. Great for a time out.
