Very beautiful part of the old town. Many Restaurants and shops. Lots of photo opportunities. Get their early to beat the tourist busses. Parking is off site. Well worth it. Beautiful old buildings. A must do.

Located on the lake, the town square has the usual collection of restaurants, bars, cafes, souvenir shops found in any tourist location. A holy trinity column occupies a prominent place on the market square. The houses around the square have flowering plants in their windows which makes it a beautiful sight.
The square is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. You will definitely pass it if you are visiting the old town. So spend a few minutes taking some beautiful photos, do some souvenir shopping or just take a break and have some snacks or drinks at the many restaurants and bars around the square.

This square has some really beautiful buildings around it and is the most open area of Hallstatt giving you some room to get a nice photo too. It is filled with Chinese tourists taking photos pretty much year round. China built a replica of Hallstatt where a lot of Chinese like to get married then they come to the real Hallstatt on their honeymoon and this is the top place for taking selfies/photos for them.

one of the most beautiful villages in Europe ... situated in a dream landscape ... in any season ...
mountains ... winter covered with snow, summer full of greenery ... the brightly colored houses, the swan lake ... white and sociable ... the beautiful church and shops and a center like in the stories when we were children. ..superb ... worth seeing !!!

Located central in the village that has all the markings and colours of a classic piece that should be very high on the list of worldwide square's to visit. Statue of Holy Trinity, Hotel Gruner Baum, outdoor seating cafes and pubs are just some of it's features. A great example of how scenic a square should look with colouring, impact and background. Many tours are coming and going so just wait for a gap so your pics can look as good as mine..

It is beautiful during all seasons. Hallstatt is a small village. Take your time to walk around and enjoy the view. The city square center is very cute. Great place for a pictute. There are toilets nearby and lots of restaurants and gift shops.
