The hotel is conveniently located in the Old City, just a few minutes from the boat dock. We had a spacious 3rd floor room with a balcony overlooking the Old City and a small side view to the lake. Breakfast offerings included eggs and were extensive, however, what pleased us most was the staff. They not only printed out our boarding passes but provided an early breakfast the day of our departure.

Very good location. Spacious and clean room with beautiful view though not facing the lake. Friendly staffs though some of them might not speak much english. The prices for the room and the restaurant are reasonable while it's a very tourist town. Wide variety of breakfast choices and the meals served in the restaurant were delicious. Definitely recommend to people visiting Hallstatt.

My husband and I have stayed in Hallstatt on three different occasions at three different hotels; of the three, the Gasthof Weisses Lamm has become our favorite place to stay. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet (on the 3rd floor) and immaculately clean. The bed linens, pillows, and towels were high quality and the bathroom was large and clean. Our room was a corner room and had two balconies, each with a small table and two chairs. Although the views from the balconies are not as spectacular as a hotel room on the lake with a lake view but nice enough to relax and enjoy. We had opted for the half-board and were glad we did. The menu was extensive, the food good and hearty, and the server very helpful and courteous. The owner, family, and staff were courteous, though not necessarily English-speaking, and helped us with our luggage, our later than expected arrival, and throughout our stay. Parking outside the inner city in the parking lot is a slight inconvenience that we were expecting from previous stays. It is only a three to five minute walk that takes you past a small convenience grocery store that may be useful and you will get a discount on the parking fee. Besides, how can you not enjoy a walk through Hallstatt?

Room tip: The top floor was great.

We were pleasantly surprised such a nice hotel at a reasonable price so close to centre of Hallstatt. The room was very spacious and clean. The price for what is a tourist town in Austria quite reasonable. I would recommend this place to others. Only drawbacks are those common to all hotels
In Hallstatt, the car needs to parked a reasonably long distance away and two, the menu options in the restaurant on the night we stayed were quite limited so we had to go out for dinner

Pro:
Short walk from town center and the pier for the ferry.
Friendly austrian man (father of owner i think) who couldn't speak much English but eager to please during breakfast. Warm flooring which is pleasant for winter.
Room was spacious with a lot of cabinets/drawers and clean too.

Con:
We got the room on 3rd floor which means we had to move the luggages up 3 floors manually as there is no elevator.
We were given a map in german n no one bothered to go throught it with us, we had to go to the tourist info center to get the exact same map but in English.

We had our dinner at the Weiss lamm restaurant in the next building as there wasn't much choice left at 5pm. There was no othee customers in restaurant and we were attended by a grumpy man. He couldn't speak english and was outright arrogant. After we paid, he didn't say thank you (in german) nor watch u leave the restaurant. He sat there and folded the napkins as we leave the restaurant. First meal in Austria and we were upset with this kind of hospitality which is a FAR cry from czech's hospitality.

Food was 7.5/10, so we would recommend anyone to eat else where, provided that there's other option.

Sauna was supposed to be close at 8pm but for some reason the door was locked at 6.30pm.
