We only stayed here for one night. Three of us had two rooms. When we started out the owner was a bit snippy but became more friendly. We were in Europe for a month and this is the only room that we were glad to leave. The romantic décor consisted of silk red roses spread all over the room. It was more tacky than romantic. The wi-fi never worked. The bath mat was so small that your feet barely fit on it. The bath towels were so worn that mine had a rather large hole in it.
It is a GREAT location right under the Abby. We could look out the window and see it lit up at night. Then again the blinds were see through so when we wanted to go to sleep the room was lit up.
We left our luggage in the morning and they carried it up to our rooms. When we left I asked if the owner could carry it down. He ignored me and told us where to put it once it was down. Since we are all over 70 it was not that easy. Everywhere else we stayed carried it down. This was our experience. It may be better for others. If you are only staying for a night to see the Abby the location may make up for everything else.More
