A true gem in the Baden area or far from the home of Beethoven where he compasses most of his most famous work. Great hot drinks and an assortment of famous pastries, very exclusive but priced really well. Great staff and prompt service!

Average spend is around €14

Sit down and take out and has credit card option which makes it very easy

A must visit, not far from Vienna

ONE of the best handmade cakes and sweets I have ever eaten. It is very nice to visit specially in the summer when you can seat outside in a calm inner courtyard with big sunshades. Also worth mentioning is that you can watch the bakers during their work!
Of course this has his Price! It is a little bit expensive! But it is worth

Located in centre of scenic balneal town of Baden offers great desserts, coffee, ice creams etc. Especially home made cakes are really superb and the great is that some of them are appropriate for the customers with gluten-free diet. Moreover the staff is flexible, friendly and accomodating. We visited this house twice during the year and it was always full. Therefore some customers could feel less familiar in full (a bit noisy) house but this „ small victim“ worths the great pastries.

Fine pastries, excellent icecream and really good coffee in a very nice environment in the centre of a beautiful city. When being in Baden you just have to go there and enjoy their services. During the warm season you can sit outside, enjoy scenery of the central square of Baden.

PS: you can easily burn the many calories you will take in at Herwig Gasser by taking an extensive walk across the "Kurpark" afterwards... ;-)

So far we were two times there. First on saturday evening approx. one hour before they close. Cakes, espresso and grapa was excellent and the service professional. Many guestes were on the tables in the historical yard and the patron himself (Mr. Gasser) supported his staff. Next time was a thursday morning for breakfast with decoff espresso, boiled eggs and served in a glass (zwei Eier im Glas), buttered bread rolls with chives - excellent again. There are chepaer places for breakfast, but the surrounding and price/performance is excellent. Next time we will taste the Kaiserschmarrn.
