Our excellent experience started right here on trip advisor.

Our airline wanted a stupid amount of money for transfers to and from the airport. I contacted the resort through trip advisor and asked them to recommend a taxi company or a decent price for a taxi to the resort. Jade contacted me advising that she could arrange a taxi for 18 euro and the driver would meet us at the airport. Sure enough, our driver met us at arrivals and took us to a lovely big Merc direct to the resort, perfect!

The resort is cracking! We had traveled to Cyprus for a wedding in Paphos so deliberately wanted somewhere out of town to enjoy some "down time". I'll agree there is little to nothing to do at the resort itself but it doesn't advertise itself as a entertainment destination. Mandria is nice, a short walk to some pubs, places to eat and a wee shop to stock up on supplies. There is a larger shop a little further out of Mandria, and the reception staff are more than willing to point you in the right direction.

We found all the staff on the complex exceptionally helpful and willing to assist and provide guidance to our questions, there was a few as this was our first visit to Cyprus!

We took the last bus into Paphos one night which was only a euro each (they keep changing the bus times so just check!) and took the card for the taxi company who collected us at the airport. We did this on 2 nights ( €20 & €22)

The beach, a 20 minute walk from the apartment, is pebbles and is not developed. We walked along it for about a mile and passed 3 people. It was clean, as was the sea.

Room service I have marked as average simply because it is not offered, hence neutral!

If your a couple, happy in your own company, a confident traveler, who likes to explore and go looking for things to do, rather than have "poolside entertainment" ; then head for Aphrodite Sands, it's relaxed, chilled and pretty much on the money!

Room Tip: We really liked having the poolside terrace on the ground floor, lets you walk right out onto the po...

Aphrodite Sands is part of the sleepy village of Mandria, just a 15/20 minute drive from central Paphos and 10/15 mins to the airport. The complex is not easy to find at night due to the fact that it is simply a collection of well appointed apartments but poorly signed. The apartment was stunning, spotless, had everything you could need (cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer) and a lovely patio.
The tv was not really satellite tv, it had 1 English speaking channel and 3 days out of 11 Channel 4 or 5 popped up. That was it. The area also is terrible for mobile phone 3G coverage and a 30 euro fee had to be paid for Wireless.
The "resort" has 2 lovely pools, plenty of loungers, a gym and spa. However, that was it, No bar, no restaurants, no nightlife, no vending machines. If you wanted any kind of entertainment then Mandria offered limited night life. 3 restaurants, 2 bars and a shop.
If you want more than this then a hire car is essential. Paphos is 15/20 minutes away, Limassol was 45 mins (although very run down).
This place is ideal if you want no noise but if you prefer to have a choice probably not ideal. People with young children would need to provide their own entertainment.
Mandria beach is a dump - a good 20 minute walk and muddy sand and nothing else. Paphos is far better and a lovely town.
If we could have taken the resort and put it a 10 minute walk away from Paphos beach then it would have been perfect.
Whilst it was nice and quiet, we prefer to have a choice of evening entertainment.
If they provide a bar/cafe/restaurant and Mandria has just a couple more bars to chosse from then we will be back.
When all is said and done, the apartment and pools were great value for money.

This place is perfect for families (and couples) who want to get away from the noisy, crowded resort experience. The apartments are set around two pools, one suited to children of all ages and the other meant for adults. The gardens are well kept and there are views of the sea in the distance. There is a fine gym, but since the A/C is turned off when not in use, it was too hot to work out for long. Our apartment was modern, clean, and well-equipped, including a washing machine. The large patios allow for privacy when dining. RENTING A CAR IS RECOMMENDED but rentals are inexpensive and easily arranged (incl. car seats). We walked to the (pebble) beach once and also tried the bus to Pafos, but in 35+ weather having a car made these trips much more pleasant. Mandria is in the midst of a transition from agriculture to tourism so is quite undeveloped… you’ll walk past rusting farm vehicles into town. That said there are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked kiosk. Owners/staff at these are very friendly. The beach is deserted; supervised, sandy beaches are a short drive away. Bring your own beach towels and be prepared to pay per device for Wifi. TIP: You can rent directly from Waterside. You can also pay for a half-day if you have a late flight and the room is available.

Room Tip: We chose a second floor room so the children couldn't run out to the pool on their own.

We stayed for 10 nights at Waterside park, cant fault the place it was real luxury and great value for money, the apartments are really clean and well laid out. the pools are brilliant and kept really clean, we totally chilled out there and enjoyed spending hours sat relaxing on the sun loungers. The local village Mandria is really nice and there is a good choice of Tavernas all serving good food at reasonable prices.

We can totally recomend this place and will definately come back again, cant wait t0 return!

A beautiful place set in countryside near a village/ small town. Tip 1 dont book a transfer with travel company as ample taxis, dont pay more than £25 euro as you are 8 minutes from the airport and that is already an inflated price. Travel companies are charging three times that amount. On arrival late in evening we were greeted by a dozy receptionist. Expect no information about the resort and a 1 minute talk about apartment. I found the reception slightly worse than unhelpful during our stay. They will charge you €30 for a week of Wifi per device and €40 for a late checkout on your last day.
Great phone signal in the are.
They have a great pool, gym, sauna and spa facilities. They do nothing to promote them either. The website talks about free treatments for each booking. No such thing when we got there.
The kids loved their time though as it is great for families who like a little privacy and good pools. There is no bar, no restaurant and no shop on the resort. This is a big let down but in hand so I was told. Hurry up and get a pool bar at least.
The beach is a 20 minute walk along farm roads. Not ideal for taking young children on foot. The beach is pebbly and it can get very hot. We had a great time at the beach with the children. There are no facilities there so do take food and drink with you and something to sit on. You need a car to get to a decent supermarket as local shops have limited but ample food which is much dearer as you would expect. You can get a hire car for as little as €33 a day which gives you much more flexibilty to get around and see Cyprus. The village has a quite a few resturants and bars and a great fish and chip shop too.
The resort has big clean apartments with basic utensils and full utilities. Ours lacked a dishwasher so website ismisleading. There is no room service or maid, though we had a visit mid week for rubbish collection and a room clean by a maid who did a great job.
The building is solid and very new. It really lacks sound proofing as the solid walls carry sound well so you may hear loud voices.
I actually like the place and I can see it has a lot of potential in future years as being one of the better places to stay in Cyprus. I would go back as much wiser on what we need.

This place is lovely. The appartments are very modern, well equipped and air conditioned.
The complex itself is quiet and peaceful with lovely pool areas and an underground health spar with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym and massage treatments.
Helpful staff (we dealt with Jade Anastasiou at the resort) and they will advise you on anything to do with enjoying your holiday - where things are, getting around, where to eat.

There are specially designated parking areas in the shade if you get a hire car (reccomended)
We got a nice air conditioned car that staff at the resort arranged for us for about 28euros a day - which is not the cheapest, but we got very good service and insurance cover with no hidden extras - Costas Demetriou car hire tel 00357 99621871.
Do drive around - Paphos region is very beautiful esspecially Troodos Mountains, Troodos Forrest and Akamas Pernisular.

The tavernas in the village are OK, but would recommend driving to Paphos to eat, but there is a lovely village called Pissouri with nice courtyard restaraunts (we went to "the Bunch of Grapes" - Amazing)
Would recomend Aphrodite Sands to anyone

Room Tip: Most rooms face the pool area and it is a nice view, 2nd floor rooms, you can see the sea.

Just back from 2weeks at Aphrodite sands I absolutely love the place not overly busy can always get a sun lounger no need for the "reserve your lounger" palava that sometimes goes on in other complexes . Only warning is the loungers get pretty hot with there metal frames the arms especially after the sun is beaming down at them but apart from that the complex is great spa was beautiful very relaxing and the gym is pretty much what you expect weights and cardio machines all good just remember and switch the air con on when your in there it gets pretty hot! The road down to pebble beach is a great for running/jogging

We stayed in Massionette 3 the house was lovely and modern had everything there that made it so easy home from home.

Mandria village was just 5min stroll up the road with its 4 resturants and mini supermarket its a very chilled out atmosphere glad its not been taking over into a "tourist/holiday" resort. We ended up eating in the same restaurant (kentpoiken ) every time we went into the village staff were very friendly and remembered us and our usual order straight away.
Pebble beach was 2min down from aphrodite sands by car very quiet beach-mostly pebbles hence the name.
Paphos is only 10min by car and airport is literally 5min by car from the resort a really good location for touring around aswell

Would recommend this resort and mandria village to everyone
