“Another brilliant stay in this wonderful hotel...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

Have just returned to the UK, having had a two night stay at the Monte Carlo Bay. This was my second stay. The staff are friendly, attentive but unintrusive, the overall service is first class. The bedrooms are beautiful and the views just breathtaking. We were lucky to have arrived in glorious sunshine although we were told that only the days before the weather had been dreadful. The grounds and pool areas are a delight,, and a simple walk around the grounds is the most pleasurable experience. There is no shortage of choice for breakfast, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a wonderful Thai/Japanese meal in the restaurant at the Rockabella next to the hot...

Yeah, the weather was horrible. Some of the worst they've seen in years. It literally rained nonstop during my visit to Monte Carlo in January, but hey, that's what you risk when you visit the area this time of year.

That being said, the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Wonderful staff, incredible accommodations. The standard rooms even have awesome views. The hotel has some wonderful amenities, including a great bar and workout facility. Food was good in restaurant as well, though pricey with American currency conversion. Nevertheless, the facility is really great, and the two pools are pretty amazing as well. There's an easy walk to the beach and some shopping as well.

The rooms were well appointed, updated and tastefully designed. I travel all over the world, stay in upscale hotels and work for one as well, so my standards are high. This property does a very good job and gets my recommendation.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside of the hotel offer amazing views of the ocean and pool. 10th floor rooms don...

I love this place! Just come back from a 3 nights stay and attended a conference here. For me this was more work no pleasure but did get to experience the pool in the morning which was fabulous
I was in room 301, which is called the Exclusive room with on one side gorgeous views over the sea and another side views over the pools and terraces, fantastic. These rooms are spacious and well maintained and the bathrooms is very good with separate walk in shower which is a must nowadays in hotels. The breakfast buffets, we were in meeting rooms and not the restaurant, were extensive and the food was very good. The pool area is great as were the lifeguard on duty, all very friendly as are the girls in the business centre. They have a little shop which is open every days and sells most things you may need, souvenirs, magazines, papers and tobacco.
Had a few beers in the main bar/club which is aimed at the young and trendy (clearly they knew I was coming over!!!) Chatty staff, cool music till the early hours this place rocks. The same must be said for most staff, they do go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. It is always the waiters that let great places down in France. Trust me, I love France and the French and spend my summer holidays in France every year but most waiters have this air of arrogance about them where ever you are. Just read, A Year in the Merde by Stephen Clarke. Anyway I will definitely be back here as I loved this place, one of the best and most beautiful hotels I have stayed in.

Room Tip: Book an Exclusive Room, the views are amazing

Friendly staff, wonderful rooms, great sea view. Breakfast is okey. The pool is big and clean. In the heart of Monte Carlo, perfectly located overseeing the bay. The hotel is walking distance from the main attractions of this very small luxury city. Service is impeccable, the rooms are spacious and always pretty well kept. It is pricy but worthwhile experience. Highly recommended at least once!

Spacious and comfortable rooms and great view over the sea! The hotel has really nice facilities and a good wifi connection. I was here for a conference and it's just a short drive away from the airport of Nice.

I really liked this hotel. I stayed with my wife for 2 nights, the second paid for by a global IT company whose event I was attending, and the first at their discounted rate, so we paid "only" 210 Euros per night which I believe is quite low, and may affect my view.

I wasn't really looking forward to it, as some other reviewers had been sniffy about the service, but we found it to be lovely. We had a great room with a view to the East to die for; the public areas and pool complex were tastefully done, and all in all it was a comfortable, luxurious stay.

We ate in the Blue Bay restaurant: again other reviewers weren't sure, but we thought it excellent. The chef left his open kitchen to talk to us about the meal, the service generally was impeccable, and they all seemed to us to take pride in their offering.

Difficult to think of too many negatives: a continual bug-bear of mine is internet, and here they had a restriction on the number of devices you could connect with the (paid) wifi, but didn't make this at all clear in advance. And maybe the concierge could have been a bit more helpful.

But, on balance, we were gently surprised with a super stay.

Stayed at the Monte Carlo beginning of November with multiple conferences in town. The location is ideal for all shows. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Room service was not worth writing home about but there are so many choices for all budgets in the food court and restaurantes around. Front desk and cleaning service were very accomodating.
