My family and i had lunch in the poolside restaurant at the hotel. It is not to be recommended. The staff were not particulary friendly and slow at service. They forgot to serve the wine that came with the formula lunch. The burger buns were burnt but the chef served it anyway. They served my husbands' main course at the same time as my son and my starters. My husband ordered a beer and when it arrived it was warm. He asked for a replacement and was told all the beers had been in the fridge for one week and were all the same termperature. Perhaps they should buy a new fridge! The fellow diner had a presson (pump) beer which he said was cold. When my husband ordered one of these the Waiter told him not to send this one back. We ordered two bottles of Badoit; the second did not arrive but still appeared on the billl. Come on SBM - train your staff and keep the quality higher. At these prices this level of service is unacceptable.

Short stay yet we both enjoyed the spacious balcony and beachside view from the 8 th fl .

The lobby and restaurants/bars offer nice decor...not elegant but nice. The source for this hotel's success is the pool area. Great space...spacious for Monaco hotels. Large, unique and some resort features (although resort's overall theme was rather piecemeal, rather than complete). The limited presence of staff was quite limiting for drinks and food service...not up to reasonable expectations. Found the staff to be standing around together "off duty" throughout the property rather than on duty and focused on the customer.

Concierge services were in demand by many... But the staff either lacked people skills or lacked hotel management oversight. Inconsistent treatment by the three staff we observed, often times lacking any interest, much effort, much organization to their work.

The challenge is transportation. Monaco taxi service is nearly extinct. The shuttle from lobby door to Casino is nice... Runs every 1/2 hr...can be over capacity., standing room only.. Not the way you would expect from a place of class. Really limits the dining options unless you are dressed for 1/2hour+ walking each way. What an opportunity to offer more shuttle options/frequency.

Room Tip: Great views and relaxing crash of waves facing East and the Beach Club.

I was there for a conference. The room has nothing special for a luxury hotel, more a business decoration. It's clean and the bed is comfortable. Unfortunately, the magnetic key never works and I had to go back to the reception each time I wanted to go in!... Moreover It is shame that such hotel with such prices rate still charge the wifi. The breakfast has nothing special for such 4**** hotel (Try the Mandarin Oriental one, it's a must!). The pool staff is unhelpful and could smile. The pool towels are very small and worn. In the meantime, the spa is elegant and relaxing, but pretty expensive, as the hostess are quite in a hurry. But the view from the terrace is amazing. Not every room has a view.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a sea view, specify you do not want a room above the pool.

I was there for a conference, but the hotel was amazing! The location is good, concerning that monaco is small, you can do many thing walking! So, the pools the hotel has are very nice, they have a pool that has a sand floor, this is really amaizing! They have a very elegant and relaxint spa (expensive but pretty nice), the food they serve is delicious, the breakfast has many options and the qaulity of the food was great and fresh.
The room is huge, the bed is a dream, the balcony has a view for the whole bay. I really reccomend this hotel for couples and families.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room. And king bed.

More like a Sheraton with a nice location. They're not trying to be 5-star, although rates are sky-high in summer. Feels more like a Hyatt in Orange County than the riviera - except for the non-stop show of Ferrari and Rolls Royce outside. Pool is nice, with sandy bottom. Understaffed poolside. Food and drinks are not a value, although room service breakfast was better than average for quality and portions size - although for 35 euros per person, it should be great.

Room Tip: Even rooms on road side have a sea view from balcony.

In one word: terrible! We are a French couple who spent 2 nights at the Monte-carlo bay hotel in july. We are used to travel around the world and have been to fantastic hotels mostly Aman resorts and four seasons ones. We hesitated with the Hermitage but the Monte-carlo bay was closer to the wedding we were attending and also had a large outside pool by the sea. We booked a rather expensive double executive room with sea view but when we arrived the view was of the roof of the inside pool and a large crane! We asked to change and luckily ended up with a fantastic sea view (the view advertised on their website). The room was disappointing, had nothing special and the decoration was a bit "Novotel" like in the 90's which is a real shame when you are in the south of France!!!! Nevertheless, it was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. The overall hotel was tacky and lacked chic completely. In fact, it looked like a Las Vegas hotel. The continental breakfast was poor, the bread was spongy and the fruit salad not fresh. But the worst was the extremely noisy pool area which didn't have enough plastic(!) lounge chairs (the same ones you can get from any French supermarket) for the hotel guests. The towels were also worn and very small. The service around the pool was inexistent and on our 2nd afternoon as we couldn't get a lounge chair we sadly retreated to our room. We were a few hotel guests in that situation but no one could be bothered to help!!!!!! Well, overall it was a VERY disappointing stay and We will never go back to this hotel or advise friends to stay there.
