We really enjoyed our evening at Cipriani. The service was great, and the food (pasta) was lovely too. Reasonably priced.

I visited Monte Carlo during the tennis tournament and lived at Metropole. Just 6-7 min. walk down to Av. Grace you will find Cipriani. 3-4 men will meet you at the door and you walk in to one most in - place in Monaco. Great atmosphere and mostly always full. A lot of serviteurs are swinging around to take help. Not as expencive as expected and good wine and dine.

Ever since it opened, Cipriani Monaco has been full.. yet the food's average, prices are high, atmosphere is so so, service is erratic.. and most of all, the crowd is just plain tacky (read: Russian)! So why's this place so popular?..

I have been to most of the Cipriani's in the world. Most are pretty unimpressive and herald overpriced food and nasty clientele. In fact, it's so bad in London that one well-known reviewer listed it as "Eurotrashville".. So, it comes as no surprise that this place (partly owned by Flavio Briatore of ex F1 fame/shame) gives you the same experience as the rest in NYC, etc.

Once you open the menu, you know you are getting ripped off. Most dishes here cost 2X the price of any restaurant in Monaco (which has never been cheap anyway), eg: pasta dishes around the Euro 20 mark and fish around Euro 50+! When the dishes arrive, you know you have been totally taken for a ride.. pasta is well just.. pasta.. and fish & meat comes with almost zero trimmings. Portions are also miniscule for the prices which really rubs salt on your credit card wound! Needless to say, when you look at the wine list, your jaw will drop to the floor.. especially when you are inviting thirsty English guests.. basic (and bland) Cotes de Provence start at Euro 40+ and a decent bottle of red will set up back nearly Euro 100 or more! Even the house carafes of wine are absurd charging around Euro 20 for a small carafe enough only for a couple of glasses (note also that glasses here are kiddie size. .all part of the rip off experience!).

But to be fair, the atmosphere here isn't too bad.. it's a bit like Moscow meets Romania.. yes, you guessed it.. skimpy tight dresses, 6 inch Louboutins, old desperados & hookers... perfect for our Eastern European friends.. I think our reviewer friend in London misnamed the crowd.. it's not Eurotrashville but EasternEurotrashville... it's almost comical too as those waiting for a table by the bar really try to look hip n cool but really impress noone (except for the Kremlin). So, if this is your scene.. go. If not, there a ton of better Italian restaurants in Monaco (especially the amazing Alain Ducasse La Trattoria in summertime!).

So, in summary, if you must.. go try it once. Yet I can guarantee you will be disappointed, especially if you are a real foodie like me. But then again you might be a lady of the night that loves tight dresses, high heels, and rich old (& bald) men.. if so, then it's your scene honey!....

A "classic" Cipriani experience. Crowded with rich-and-tan, monaco-based recurring clients and girls looking for someone-rich-to-catch. If you like this circus, this is the place. Extremely expensive as usual, quality food average and no views at all, but who cares?

I knew Cipriani restaurant from New York... So it was a surprise to see it in MC as well... The food was amazing, but the service could be improved, especially during busy season... It is a very trendy place worth visiting... I would recommend it to anyone that wants a good dinner place with a great atmosphere !
