The beach is very busy, particularly in July and August and it can be difficult to find somewhere to put your towel. Listening to all the languages spoken on the beach is interesting - Russian, Italian, English, French, Swedish etc. Plenty of good restaurants on the beach including La Spiaggia, La Note Bleue etc. On the promenade above the beach, Baobab restaurant does the best capuccino in Monaco and is excellent value for lunch, dinner and wine. The beach is a sort of gravel rather than sand. The water temperature is between 20 and 25C in summer. Lifeguards on duty summertime.
