We had their lunch menu which consisted of a buffet of hot and cold appetizers, a choice of a main course, and the dessert buffet. The food was excellent. I most enjoyed the appetizer buffet, which contained a wide variety of high quality items. We ate in their outdoor seating area next to the gardens which were pretty. Service was professional, with one exception. The staff kept moving our sun umbrella (all tables were covered by these since it is so hot in the summer) to provide extra sun protection to the table next to us. Visiting Monaco was a huge splurge for us, while that table was a group of upper-crust, snobby, wealthy Brits (based on their clothing and topics of conversation). While the staff made sure they were protected from the sun, my partner had to keep shifting his chair to stay out of the sun. By the end of lunch and the umbrella being moved several times, we had shifted 90 degrees around our round table. We wouldn't have minded moving if the staff at least asked us if we were okay when they moved the umbrella. Many of the other patrons also appeared very wealthy (e.g., chanel shoes) as do many people on Monaco, but it felt as though the staff were less concerned with our comfort than the comfort of the wealthy. And no, we are not shabbily dressed tourists like one of the other reviewers complained of - you can look nice without a designer label. I am hoping that our experience is not the norm, because this is otherwise a great lunch option.
