Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo
Ranked #1 of 10 Hotels in Monte-Carlo
Certificate of Excellence

This was my first visit to Monte Carlo and what a way to visit. From the moment you arrive at the entrance of the hotel, the staff are welcoming and seeking to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The hotel is posh but not stuffy and unlike several other hotels we visited for meals/cocktails. We went to the bar one evening and it’s the only place where service was less enthusiastic. It was a slow night and the staff didn't seem to be as attentive, but otherwise service from check-in to check-out was excellent.

Our room overlooked the water and we had a glorious view of the yachts in the distance. Strong wifi in the lobby and rooms, probably not strong enough for work purposes, but strong enough to check email and use social media. The bathrooms are large and the water pressure in the shower makes you want to extend your morning ablutions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water and high enough not to have the view obscured by the patio/outdoor d...

This hotel is simply fantastic. The customer services is among the best I have experienced. The team at the front desk and concierges desk were great! The rooms are wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. There is tasty café “Lemon Bar” that has great option for lunch or coffee. You can’t beat the location – you are within walking distance to any part of Monaco! I hope to be able to return to the Hermitage in the future!

Third visit to the hotel. Standards remain outstanding.

Obviously a luxurious hotel in a fantastic location but this hotel stands out for friendly, attentive service to all guests even if you are not in a top suite, a celebrity or royalty! Of the top hotels I have stayed in this one has the perfect blend of friendliness but with discretion, which in combination with the lovely facilities has made this a memorable place to stay every time.

Room Tip: Junior Suites are amazing but normal rooms are wonderful too. My preference is the end of the hotel...

Went with a group Had a great time. Monte Carlo is unbeleivable, the sights, the cars, the people and the food. Long remember this trip. 3 days there then to Paris for 7 days. Did not want togo home. Went up the Eiffel tower (walked up and down) Best to get there at 8:30, opens at 9:30, not crowded when you get to the top and have the rest of the day to do other things. Also visited Versailles palace, Louvre museum, Notre Dame and Normandy. Plus all the other churhes and cathedrals. Just love that stuff. The stores and side walk cafes are great.

Room Tip: Don't like your room, ask for a better one

A traditional hotel with all the mod cons. Excellent location, great service, decent price (on Monaco scale!); 3 reasons for booking here.
Pool is offsite and you won't meet Rafa Nadal in the elevator;2 reasons for not booking! The pool is being refurb'd but there is access to an excellent facility via shuttle bus. The lack of Nadal is not remediable.

Very beautiful hotel, extradoniry decor, and amazing views. The rooms are very expensive, but you are paying for absolute luxury. The concierge and check in staff were polite and friendly. They seem to welcome all guests with a pretentious attitude. The same goes for the serving staff. We ate most of our meals at the hotel and the quality if the food was excellent. I wanted very badly to give this hotel a five out of five, but they made a really big mistake. Before I checked in I emailed ahead and advised of a very serious allergy of feathers causing very serious asthma attacks. When I checked in I found feather pillows. I arranged for them to be removed. Day 2 they brought the feather pillows back. I had them removed again and explained in detail the issue of the pillows. My last night there day 6 sometime in the evening they stuck in one extra pillow in the bed we did not notice. The next morning I woke up completely unable to breath and had a very serious asthma attack. My entire travels home and now days later I am still suffering. I am not sure why they could not take my allergy serious.

Room Tip: If you have any allergies just assume they will ignore them.

The rooms are very traditional but clean and neat. Service is great, staffs are friendly and food is awesome too. Location is close to everywhere, and if you are willing to explore some cheaper eats are near. Only down side is a bit expensive but depends on your comfort level I guess.
