First of all, we were amazed to find so many "cheap" restaurants in Monaco. In many of them, prices are not any higher than in Cannes or surrounding cities. I'm sure you could splurge a few hundreds euros, should you wish to, but if you don't want to (or don't have a few 100s Euros to throw away) you're not forced to eat at McDonald's.
We got a table outside, in a small piazza and overlooking the Cathedral. Choir included ;)
The fixed menu is interesting, but you have to skip breakfast and lunch to be able to eat the whole menu. Portions are huge and quite good. My wife almost upset the waiter that she did not want a THIRD serving of the fish soup before the gambas. And the salad of chicken liver is a meal all by itself.
For a not very expensive (see prices in the photo) but still good lunch/dinner in Monaco only to recommend.
