We had a very enjoyable dinner at Polpetta. Reminded me of a lot of Italian restaurants back home (Melbourne, Australia). I didn't find it earth shattering, but more a family run, tried-and-true Italian restaurant cooking up all the traditional favourites.

We have been coming here for many years, but have to say that the relatively new ownership has injected new life into this italian gem. The food is superb authentic italian fare, choosing is always difficult as the meats and fishes on the printed menu are just as good and tempting as the dishes of the day, and as you'd expect the pasta is fantastic. I've just read one review that said the decor is tired, i would say it's more traditional and welcoming and does not look tired to me; there are pristine linen tablecloths, formal cutlery/glasses etc - however, that is just my personal opinion. It's very hard to fault the staff as they are consummate professionals at all times and happy to banter with customers when the situation arises. It doesn't break the bank either. Obviously, from my review, i'm a huge fan of this restaurant, but if you're in or near Monaco and want a real italian experience it's worth the effort of finding it. (up the hill opposite the Novotel, and about five minutes from the main Casino).

Looking for reasonably priced restaurant in Monaco with fantastic food? Polpetta delivers! They seem to be dedicated to serve traditional Italian style food, and to not compromise quality at any time. Staff is friendly, though not very good in english, but you are willing to forgive everything once you taste the food! It's fabolous! We had the Risotto, and I'd never tasted anything like it. Rice perfectly cooked, and blended in so well with the rich sauce and taste of the sea-foods. Gigantic prawn on top of serving was like you never really tasted it before. Looks a little "cheap" from outside, but inside really cozy atmosphere. Priced around 17-30 euro..

The Polpetta was a great place to eat and be seen in the 80s. The food and the service are still reasonable but the decor is now a little tired. Still if you want good italian food you could do far worse.

Dear Sir,
we found this place 4 ½ years ago, is a local historical, attended in the golden years of the Monaco by the Royal Family and big actors and international. The environment while giving a freshen up, brushing the premises, completely redoing the kitchen , renovating the bar counter made of wood, we tried to keep the same atmosphere that we think is fascinating. We certainly can not change his opinion that is obviously personal, but 'as they say in Latin "de gustibus non disputandum est." We hope to have you back as our customer in spite of everything, because he liked our kitchen.

Went to Polpetta after reading about it online. We might've been lucky, but we managed to walk in right off the street and be seated immediately.

Fast and efficient service, good prices, and the food for this price range was outstanding. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
The place also had a really nice atmosphere, with friendly staff actually encouraging a guest ( a kid who won a french talent competition) to sing some songs.

Overall friendly atmosphere and great down to earth dining made us never wanna leave.

Keep on doing what you're doing!
