I can't add much to the last few reviews, but we loved our visit to Le Montgolfiere last night. It is tiny (16 covers) but Henri and his wife have a passion for what they do which was evident from the moment we walked in to the moment we left feeling that they were our new friends. The food is inventive, beautifully presented, and the best we have had in 9 months in Monaco so far. The wine list is a bit limited, but we enjoyed a delicious Chateau de Tracy 2011 (a delicious Pouilly Fume) at €50 - not cheap, but the wine costs around £22 a bottle retail, so this isn't an unreasonable mark up by any means. The evening set menu is €41 but worth every cent - this is genuinely good cooking. Booking is pretty much essential other than in the depths of low season. Visitors should also be aware that the Old Town does attract huge numbers of tourists in the summer and can get very crowded. Having said that, the TV (yes, the sound is off) does spoil the otherwise very cosy atmosphere somewhat, and turning it off (or mving it to the kitchen) would be a big plus.
