From the minute we walked into the restaurant, rather late for our reservation, the staff were charming and gracious. We chose a selection of tapas after reading some good reviews here, and they were all delicious. The "patatas bravas" were different to any I've had before - they were basically individual fondant potatoes with a scoop in the top of each where the sauce was placed. Everything was beautifully presented and the staff remained attentive but discreet throughout.
When we asked for the wine list, we were told they did not have one, but to enter their wine cellar and make a choice from their extensive selection. While very unconventional, this was delightful and we spent a fair amount of time selecting a bottle. Each bottle has a tag around its neck with a price on it, so there will be no unpleasant surprises!
The restaurant itself is rather bijous, but airy and with great acoustics. I mentioned to my husband how the background music appeared to be quite loud, and yet it wasn't necessary to raise your voice to talk to your companions, even across the broad table. Other diners' conversations were also non-intrusive.
We will definitely return with friends in the future.
