This hotel is a good three star. The rooms are larger than average and the food is ok, as in quite good but nothing spectacular. Buffet style with plenty of choice but a little too chips orientated for my liking - kids will think they are in heaven! I prefer a few more vegetables.

The position is excellent, with the lift 5 minutes away. The only real gripe i have is the reception staff know very little about any skiing info. They insisited the gondola to pal was open. When i got there it was closed and hadn't opened this season. I was told to get to Arcalis you had to change bus in La Massana. In fact the direct bus went right outside the hotel!!

The Andorran authorities need to get there act together as well. As the Arinsal area was only partly open they could have done with scheduling some of the Arinsal ski buses (virtually empty) to La Massana and Arcalis. Anyway that's not the fault of the hotel!

Room Tip: Do not accept a room on the first floor. We did and had noise all night as the bar and disco is unde...

I have just returned from this hotel and truthfully cannot fault it.
Yes there were negatives, however these were not to do with the hotel, more so with rude noisy families in the dining room and bar. The hotel staff tried their utmost to control this and were succesful in most instances.
On the plus side, the rooms were very comfortablly furnished, as well as being spotlessly clean, and remained this way throughout the week. The staff were always available and helped in any way they could, and as for the buffet style dining room, the chefs served an amazing selection of dishes every day.
Location to the ski lift could not have been better, only a 50 yard stroll from the front door, then ski directly back at the end of the day.
The location of the hotel was about 15 minutes uphill from the village centre which meant that it was away from the noisy nightlife and hence with ages ranging from 15 to 73, was perfect for my group.
Overall it is one of the best choices that I have made for any skiing holiday.
May only be a 3 star hotel, but don't let that put you off, I reckon it is simply because it lacks facilities like a pool for example. I would personally rate it much higher !

Hotel Husa Patagonia is in the top of Arinsal, near the renovated ski chairs to Arinsal Ski Area.
It’s a nice hotel with large rooms.
Starting with the lobby, you’ll find a large reception desk. It has 2 lifts and 6 floors. You’ll find also a small place where they have a computer for internet (paid) and a very small place with some games and a tobacco machine.
All ground floor is covered with free wifi. The bar is quiet and you can surf the web there. It has a pool table, TV and a fireplace.
The rooms are large. It can accommodate 3 adults or a family with 2 kids. It has 2 single beds and a double sofa, where you’ll find a bed. At the end of the room it has a small kitchenette, where you can cook if you want (we didn’t use it). Room temperature is nice and you’ll also have a balcony facing the main entrance.
The breakfast and buffet is on the 4th floor. Simple, don’t expect too much… but for a 3 stars hotel is ok. At dinner, you’ll find a small buffet, 3 warm dishes, 3 cold or salad dishes. Didn’t appreciate to much the deserts, but you’ll find ice creams and fruit.
For a snow week, it’s an excellent place to stay. We’ll return if we stay in Arinsal.

I stayed in the hotel Husa Patagonia in the February’s half term school holiday. In my opinion what it is really good about this hotel is its location. There is a chair lift next to the hotel, which takes you straight up to the slopes. In the end of the day, it is possible to ski down to the hotel or get the chair lift back down. The room was very nice and clean. The maids clean the room every day. However, the bathroom really needs a shower enclosure because the water goes all over the floor when you have a shower. The bar in the hotel is really nice and spacious, and the prices for the drinks are not too bad. We stayed in the hotel on a half board basis. The breakfast was good but the evening meal was very poor. The food was cold (even though we were usually one of the first guests to arrive at the restaurant) and tasteless. The soup tasted like dirty water. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again. However, I would only stay there on a bed and breakfast board.

Stayed half term week so hotel was full. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spotless and very well planned out . We turned our radiators off as room was warm enough without ,but we needed to dry our ski stuff so would have complained if room was cold!!!! On reading original reviews we hadn,t realised that the ski lift was a few metres away, this for my teenage son was the best bit, he could get up and go without having to wait for a bus.It took us straight to the top in a few minutes and as we had snow mid-week made ski-ing really enjoyable. Food gave good variety for all ages and was plentiful. Great holiday would go again

I don't usually contribute to these things but felt I wanted to add some balance following the last review. We've just returned form a week at the Patagonia and we found the staff to be friendly and polite the whole time. Agreed, the food isn't gourmet but it was very welcome after a day on the slopes and we had no complaints. Also, I agree that brekfast was a little noisy due to a large school group but hey, they've as much right to be there as us. The hotel did open breakfast earlier for those that wanted peace.
Our room was a bit small for 4 people but it was clean and warm. We came to ski, not spend lots of time in the room and it was certainly big enough to sleep in!
All in all, the Patagonia was great. The staff were very friendly and the location can't be bettered.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, next to a chair lift which takes you to the heart of a fantastic ski resort. On arrival at this hotel the man at reception was rude and unfriendly. Unfortunately the rest of the staff in the hotel were exactly the same throughout our week long stay. The rooms had paper thin walls and the beds were very uncomfortable - both of which contributed to a dreadful nights sleep. The 'restaurant' (if you could call it that) was noisy, chaotic and the food was disgusting. We initially had a room across from the kitchens and were kept awake by kitchen staff playing loud music until late at night. The hotel did manage to move us the next day to a different room on another floor - unfortunately this room stank of smoke. There seemed to be no clear management within the hotel - it was essentially run by junior staff who had little interest in the guests staying in the hotel. I do plan to return to Arinsal, to a different hotel, next year. It is a fantastic area and in all the other bars/restaurants and hotels we visited during our stay the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
