“Good for beginners”

Vallnord Pal-Arinsal
Ranked #2 of 20 things to do in Arinsal

Good for beginners but intermediate/advanced would get bored unless you want to off piste. Lots of ski schools which can get slightly annoying, especially when the push in on the lifts.

My partner chose this resort because of its beginner friendly reputation and it didn't disappoint.

The week was hard work but enjoyable and Norbert our instructor was very good.

Not impressed by the restaurants on the slopes, polar bar was probably the best of a fast, junk-food bunch as they offered a tapas selection.

All in all a great week. Friendly staff and clean environment.

The Vallnord ski area is a great place to learn how to ski. Being our first time, it was hard to know what to expect. Vallnord has a great variety of slopes, from the training slopes and magic carpet at the bottom to green, blue, red and black higher up.

There is a great progression up through the slopes and they all offer great skiing conditions and beautiful views.

The weather was a bit mixed, but that would be typical of all skiing resorts.

Lots of instructors are around on the mountain and there is an excellent Medical centre at the bottom of the slope.

A few restaurants at the bottom and midway up. Great for hot chocolate, but limited to Burgers, Pizzas, Chips and Pasta.

Would recommend.

Ok so its not like some of the big resorts in France but that all goes for nothing once you sample the FAMILY friendly atmosphere and quality child safe slopes where blue runs are genuinely blue and not changed to just make the resort look varied (take note Les Deux Alps) .If your going as a family with kids then this is the perfect place to ski together unless you all love black challenging runs ...if you do you might get a bit bored lol but I loved it
