Booked here for Aug 22 to 29th and was told by the manageress they didn't have any studios although travel agent supposedly booked us one, anyway was pleasantly surprised with the 1 bedroom apartment and the spaciousness of it all, nice and clean and maid service every day, no cooker as one of the photo's showed us, just a 2 ring top stove, kettle and toaster but no microwave but plenty of dishes and pans etc., big twin bedroom and nice bathroom, full dining set and couches in lounge, pool looked lovely but didn't try it as we were out all day, this was due to the fact that the supposed resort of Polis was a dead loss with no where to go until at night when about a square mile of restaurants open for dinner but this is the only good thing i could say about Polis, beach is rocky too so that was a no no, luckily we had hired a car and although Paphos is about 34klms away we drove there every day early for breakfast and then spent the day on Coral Bay or beach as this is the only decent beach we could find on the western side of the island and then trekked back to Polis at night for our dinner, loved the apartments and would definitely recommend them but they were in the wrong place and wouldn't go back to that resort again, next time will go to the east side of the island.

Room Tip: we had a 1st floor apartment in the annex overlooking the pool and it was great

I have never written one of these before but read many before booking this holiday and felt the Stephanos has many un deserved poor reviews so felt i would give it a go. we have just returned from a beautiful two week stay. The rooms was nice we did have a free upgrade to an apartment so can't comment on the studio we paid for. The people are nice the rooms cleaned every day with so many towels we ended up with a pile. The sheets were changed very regularly I can't say I could be bothered to check how often it seemed like about every two days at times. The important thing was they always felt clean. We didn't use the bar much. I'll admit it was quiet but friendly and welcoming and with free wi if access. We didn't have reason to complain or have a lot to do with the family but they were always friendly and many people also staying had returned again and again and couldn't speak too highly of them. The pool was nice and clean and we didn't have to fight for a sun bed.The town is gorgeous with lots of bars and tavernas we didn't really have a bad meal in the two weeks. The supermarket and I mean supermarket not corner shop is just around the corner no more than 5 mins walk and sells everything. The bus stop is just around the corner if you don't hire a car everything is 1.5 euros so no need to not see the island you do ned to go Pathos to catch another one for some of the places though. The tourist info centre is just around the corner too and for the bus stop go left just before the main bars. It really is central for most things only five mins walk away the beach is about 15 mins though but not a bad walk. Maria will give u a map if u need one. We would definitely go back for a relaxing chill out however if you want a lot of night life Polis is not really the place for u anyway.

We booked in for 7 nights from 6th Sept. We were lucky enough to get one of only two rooms which open onto the pool. We arrived late but were greeted warmly and shown to our room. The rooms are pretty basic, but clean and more that adequate. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the kitchen was well stocked. (Note: you will need to bring washing up liquid and a cloth/sponge but everything else was there.) I would also advise though, that although we opted for self catering, the various cafes and restaurants were excellent with something for everyone's taste and budget. Polis is a quiet town, with loads of character and beautiful people. I cannot recommend Costa's Corner enough. He and his wife Maria were warm and lovely - and even re-opened their kitchen on our first night as we arrived at gone 23:30! The pool was clean, the sun glorious, and the locals very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and town. We will be there again next year without fail!

Room Tip: Ask for one of the two poolside rooms - easily the best there!

I stayed for 11 nights this August and had can't recommend this hotel enough! The family that run it are lovely people - I knew this as I arrived to check in at lunch time and was swiftly invited to join them for lunch. I really enjoyed their breakfasts, the bacon in Cyprus is amazing. There is a good spread of breakfast, and it really started my days off well. I stayed in a self-catering room, so had a kitchen and fridge; I actually only used to cook some local loukanika and make some salads in the end as the local restaurants and souvlakia places were too tempting. The balcony had a lovely view of the garden, and I enjoyed reading in the evenings from it. You can walk to the town center in about 2 minutes, and walk down to the Camp Site beach in 15ish minutes. The bus stop in Polis is just round the corner, and from there I took busses to Paphos, Latchi, Baths of Aphroditi and Argaka - so if you're not hiring a car it's really well located. And the big supermarket is just a 2-3 minute walk away too for stocking up the fridge with drinks. I'd definitely stay with them again

Room Tip: I stayed on the top floor overlooking the garden (opposite side to the pool area) and it was lovely...

Just returned from Stephanos travelling with a family, hotel is fine very basic but you get what you pay for however it could do with updating ,,bedroom has the air conditioning units which aren't the best but we didn't have air con the first night and it was torture so we paid for the rest of the holiday, maid service every day and sheets changed twice a week the people who have not had maid service must have been unlucky because without fail the maids was in every day apart from sunday.think the hotel is better for couples rather than a family because there is nothing going on at all it's so quiet so it's ideal for a chilled lazy holiday, less than 5 minutes from Polis centre which has a great choice of restaurants Muastakaliss and Finikas are great,
Maria and all her family are really lovely I would go back to the hotel as a couple but with children it's a bit too quiet .

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the pool are nice.

Just returned from a week at the stephanos in polis, I found the hotel to be clean , our room was clean most days and the sheets were changed twice the floors were cleaned, we had the aircon turned on as it was so hot and it worked just fine , better than some i've had in American hotels .I found the staff friendly and when we checked out we given a bottle of wine by maria.the pool was clean and warm and I saw the pool cleaned twice it could have been more, theres a nice terrace area where breakfast was served but thats the only meals that seemed to be available , thats a shame as I think it would be a big plus for the hotel to make more use of the terrace , our room over looked the pool but we never found it noisy, if your looking for a nice little bar check out costas corner , cosras and maria are very welcoming and friendly

we stayed at one bedroom apartment. All the websites shows an oven including on the kitchenette in the apartments so before going there we have make some shopping of foods that we can frizzle. For a surprise when we enter to the apartment there was not any oven anywhere. We found a very small refrigerator that took 2 days to get cold. when we asked about the oven they told us that nowhere in the hotel they offer ovens. The apartment inside is completely different that what is showing in the pictures. Our view was a land with some trees which disappoint us a lot! Of course it wasn't a mountain view as it describes. There was only air condition in the bedroom but in order to work they want 6 euro per day. We note that the water of the pool was stable and it wasn't recycled!!

The only positive thing is in the center of the Polis.
