Found the whole place to be a tad run down and tired. Owners were nice enough and they didn't seem to mind when we asked to move rooms(I won't go into why,but if you kop for the same room you'll know why).

Our alternative room was a little better but it still left a lot to be desired. The shower was virtually not worth the bother and we had one of the smallest balconies we've ever experienced. If you don't mind wires hanging from bathroom fittings and extractor fans fitted upside down, then this is the place for you!

Location wise it's very good and Polis itself is a great location with many good restaurants and a very good beach.

Don't let me put you off, this hotel has its good points and I suppose you get what you pay for(as the owners pointed out to me), just don't expect anything other than very average.

If you are looking for a peaceful, inexpensive holiday, I would highly recommend Stephanos Hotel Apartments. We were self catering in a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, which was nice. The hotel is close to local amenities (but we didn't find the big supermarket until our last day, unfortunately - take the road from Polis to Agarka (sp) if you want to find it) and there are some wonderful local restaurants to try. For what it is and the price you pay, you couldn't wish for anything more! All in all, a lovely holiday to remember.

Room Tip: Definitely worth getting a 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony! Not much better than getting back from dinner and sitting on the balcony listening to music (we took our own speakers) and the crickets!

Stayed at Stephanos Hotel for a week just to have a chilled holiday. Was there at half term and it was very quiet around pool area, suited us! We felt it was excellent value for money, the apartment was very well appointed with everything you needed in the kitchen area and so spacious, never had such a good amount of space! The apartment was so clean and bed linen changed often during the week. We opted not to have air con and keep the windows open for the fresh air, we were woken up with country sounds, birds, dogs, cockerels etc but you soon got used to it and its all part of the holiday! The hotel is close enough to Polis square with a few restaurants which were all very friendly and offered a good variety of cypriot food. We walked down to the beach where you can hire sunbeds and ate at the café and enjoyed the food at a decent price. We hired a car so we could travel around, which we hired from a local company in Polis. All in all, a very relaxing holiday and would recommend the Stephanos Hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the pool have a better outlook, and the rooms on the ground floor facing the pool have sunbeds directly outside the patio doors which is a bonus.

We have just returned from a holiday where we stayed at the Stephanos it was a lovely holiday break with friend's we booked studio's but Maria had put us in appartment's next door to each other, she didn't know we were friend's as we hadn't booked together so that was nice for us, the room's were cleaned every day the bedding & towel's were changed twice while we were there which you don't usually get for a week's stay, Maria brought us homemade cake's & rice pudding as well which is a nice touch, we would go back here again could not fault the place for what we payed' we also got to have a look at other room's in our building because when the staff were getting room's ready for the next guest's the door's are left open so we were able to have a look, every room we looked at were just as nice as our's thankyou to Maria & staff for a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: Our room was looking out onto the road which was noisy so we would choose a pool view next time for that reason.

We went for a chilled out holiday and we had a great time. Befire we went we were in e-mail contact with Maria and she arranged an upgrade to an apartment with a view and she arranged the airport transfers for us. It was my partners birthday while we were there and we had a lovely suprise of a bottle of very nice red wine waiiting for us in the room. Maria and her family have time for you for any problems. The maids are lovely and rooms were cleaned regularly.
Will go back and recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room overlooking the pool and/or sea in the distance
