I have stayed here many times and it really is excellent value for money. The location is a quiet village which is perfect for relaxing getaway. It's a very well run establishment, the rooms are immaculate and cleaned daily. The rooms are functional, the pool area is nice and quiet particularly around the hotter parts of the day when most of the residents are off enjoying the walks around the local national park, or nipping down to the best beach in Cyprus which is only 5 mins drive away.

Room Tip: Upper floor usually have nice balconies.

My partner and i loved our stay at the tavros apts. stayed in mid may for just a few nights and not long enough...temperature then just perfect approx 28c..Super spacious apts with ample terrace space and lofted position of hotel has perfect views. Located perfectly for seaside or walking in hills amid stunning scenery..Also, the owner of the place is a very nice man who pointed us in the direction of the super value restaurant in the village..Great stay!!!

Room Tip: all rooms have a reasonable view, but the best views are from the top floor..

We loved the Tavros! The people are very friendly and helpful. The pool was excellent, the room clean and spacious. Breakfast; great selection as well as taste! The location is great if you like traditional Cypriot village life, a great tavern in walking distance just up the road - great food and great people. Sorry we only stayed 2 nights. Would love to return!

This complex may not be brand-new, but it is very well maintained, kept spotlessly clean and with all we could have wanted to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

We had an "apartment", comprising a twin-bedded rom with large balcony, a bathroom, substantial lounge (including sofa, armchair and TV), breakfast bar and kitchen area, plus a little lobby by the bedroom and bathroom with a dressing table arrangement. There was lots of storage space, a fridge, small cooker and electric kettle, plus full air-conditioning and WiFi.

The pool was lovely, both for a relaxing/cooling dip and for a more vigorous swim. The grounds have been planted with a range of flowers, shrubs and trees, which are well looked after to provide very pleasant surroundings.

Breakfast is a typical Cypriot buffet of yogurt, honey, cold meats, cheese, etc, plus cereals, which can be eaten either indoors or by the pool, and one is also offered a cooked English plate of bacon, eggs etc.

For evening meals, we walked into the village - some other guests drove down to the coast.

I stayed at the Tavros for a week early in April 2013. I found the family run hotel very friendly and helpful from the outset of my booking to the moment I left. The rooms I was given were kept spotlessly clean every day and with inclusion of a kitchenette I was able to do some basic cooking. This was especially useful as I wanted to make my own breakfasts and packed lunches so I could make an early start on the nearby walking trails. That being said I treated myself to a full cooked breakfast from the hotel on several occasions. These were excellent. The room had a delightful view over the beautiful pool area, though I did not see anyone using it as it was still rather cold.
For walkers the hotel is well situated. It is about 2km along a quiet country lane to the Smigies picnic area from where several local walks start. These in turn can be seen to connect to other walks including the Aphrodite and Adonis trails. It is also possible to join the E4 long distance path to walk all the way to the top of the Akamas Peninsula at Cape Arnaoutis.
Maps for this area are not very good but the hotel staff are happy to offer advice.
There are buses available from directly outside the hotel, running on an hourly basis to Polis or just to the bottom of the hill to get another bus for the other 6km to the Baths of Aphrodite. The cost of buses seems to be 1 euro wherever you are going.
The hotel is in Neo Chorios which has a basic shop for food and a couple of restaurants. Its a very quiet little place. Just the thing for forgetting work and relaxing.

Nice clean rooms with well-equipped kitchen facilities. Excellent breakfast set us up for a day exploring the surrounding area. The Tavros has a nice pool and attractive gardens and this was a perfect place for a really relaxing holiday.
The service was excellent and we extended our visit by another night. We travelled with two small children who were made very welcome. The staff helped us with ideas of where to go and what to see in the area.
There is a village shop for whoever wants to self cater or tavernas in close proximity.
We really enjoyed our visit and meeting the friendly Cypriots every where we went. Our visit to the Tavros has been one of our best holiday experiences.

Excellent apartment with a good shower and generous private balcony. Immaculate grounds: lush palms and November blossom. Perfume of orange-blossom and carob. Decent sized pool (15x7m). Breakfast buffet a choice of English (Muesli etc) or Cypriot styles. Good walking into the Akamas right from the door.
