Having had a glass of wine in the Village Tavern we looked at Skylight because of the reviews but the view was poor and the number of tables hinted at a step away from the unobtrusive but personal atmosphere we'd just experienced, so we went back. We are so glad we did. The food was delicious; we shared tavas (slow cooked lamb) and koupepia (stuffed vine leaves), both the best we've tasted during our holiday. The restaurant owner had a very busy lunch time, as we'd seen on our drive past on the way for a walk up to the Kaledonia Falls, so was going to close early for the evening, but stayed open when we came back. We are very thankful he did, our meal in the Village Tavern was the perfect end to a lovely day.
