Don't miss the Parrot show. The zoo is quite small but currently expanding. We saw a penguin enclosure under construction and elephants are expected shortly. First time I have seen albino wallabies. The children will love feeding the goats. A good half day excursion.

If you love birds then you will see a lot of them at this "first Zoo" on the outskirts of Paphos. Actually its only about 15 minutes away from Coral Bay and our bus driver /guide was very
engaging and funny. There are so many wild animals to see such as giraffes, kangaroos,
various types of sheep, even white lions. However the trip was a little short, though I guess you could stay longer than 2.5 hours and catch the local bus home. It was great to see some very exotic animals the most astounding for me were the Giant Tortoise from the Seychelles.
There is a parrot show that takes place everyday.....the main criticism was really the size of the cages especially for the larger wild animals and the birds; these were quite small. So many birds
in such small cages with nowhere to go.

We visited the zoo with our 20 month old son. We wanted him to get close and see animals that he has seen in books and / or on TV. It is a good experience for kids of all ages; One can see lions, giraffes, kangaroos, cows, sheep, a tiger, lots of eagles, parrots..... But a number of animals are missing, in order for the place to be called a zoo: elephants, bears, etc.

We visited paphos zoo today with our 2 yr old son. A friend had recommended it to us so we decided to visit it and give it a go.
We got there for 10am opening and we were one of the first there, when we left roughly an hour later it was rather a bit busy!
Expensive for what it is - disappointed the tiger was no where to be seen and no elephants just the usual average zoo animals plus 2lions giraffes and camels.
You couldn't spend allday there.. We went around the whole of it in just over an hour
Worth it a visit and I wasn't highly impressed with it overall

This was a very enjoyable day out but extremely hot. This Is a well laid out place guiding you through perfectly. Only downfall is that the cage bars are very small and obscure the view of some animals. The drinks there are expensive as well, however we were able to take our own bottled water in
