We booked this through Qwerty travel after seeing it offered on trave Zoo. The offer included an upgrade to halfboard and we paid extra for a sea view room. We arrived around 2200hrs ( travel on easy jet, flight times were not the best but it was reflected in the price), we were told that as we had missed dinner we could have a voucher for lunch to be used when it suited us, which I thought was good, the room was nice but was on the ground floor, we asked if there was any chance of a higher floor, we had to wait until the following day but were given another nice room on the second floor with a great sea view.
The room had all the usual facilites includine tea/coffee making facilites, safe hair dryer etc. The Hotel has large indoor and outdoor pools, gym,spa facilities .Staff were freindly and helpful. The Hotel is located at the far end of Poseidonos Ave approx 3K from Paphos harbour.
The food was of a high standard, dinner was very good with a wide choice of well cooked foods, we would go back for the food. With it being early in the season it was quite quiet, which suited us we did have a noisy Sturday and Sunday morning as Christening party were staying, boy were they loud!
Overall it was a very good week not really anything to fault, there is a hotel being built next door, we did not find this excessivly noisy, ( and our wing was next door to it), the info in the room is a bit lacking it basically say if you want to know anything, ring reception, we only fond out after a few days that there was a library and info area, with comuters on the first floor,
We had a taxi booked for the airport at 1930hrs, we had decided to use our meal voucher for lunch, checkout was 1200 and we asked if we could delay this until after lunch (1400) we were told this would cost 20 euros, which when the Hotel is full you can understand ,so we left our luggage in the unsecured luggage room, not a major issue but could have been dealt with better. This is a nice time to visit Cyprus good weather but not too hot, and not too busy, will definitely return to the island

What a steal, four of us paid £250 per person for a week in the warm weather, this included flights, hotel with upgrade to sea view and half board. Although I looked the place up in advance it was a delightful suprise on arrival. There was a warm welcome in the impressive reception area. The room and ensuite were more than acceptable with regards fixtures and fittings and were very clean. The view was great. Yes Ok there is a hotel being built next door but it wasnt that intrusive really. The food was fantastic value and all help yourself so if you wanted to 'pork' out you could go belly up to the table!!! Local wine which was more than drinkable for 13.50 euro. The bar was reasonably priced for an hotel, try the local version of spirits very cheap and fine with mixers, and the Keo brandy was great to finish after dinner. The staff (mostly Bulgarian) were so friendly. Dan and Nick in the bar, Marina in the breakfast room and Tony in the restaurant merit special mention. There is a well stocked shop for basics, a good fitness centre and health and beauty spa. The website is out of date and the outdoor pool has moved to the lower level with the loss of the adjoining spa pool. The new pool and indoor pool are however very good. Right on the beach and beach path for a 30 minute walk to Paphos harbour and town. I am unsure of the rates in high season but we were very happy with the hotel overall. Will consider booking direct next March and it is only 15 minutes away from Paphos Airport (Easyjet) and hire cars for less than 9 euros a day. Top value for money!!!

I booked this trip last July via "Travelzoo" for my two sons (the eldest of which was born in Cyprus 25 yrs ago) my partner and myself and was a little apprehensive about what to expect for the money, but we were not disappointed. We hired a car beforehand which we picked up at the airport so didn't have to rely on shuttle transport.
On arrival at the hotel, we were delighted at the sight that met us - all marble and sparkling lights in the foyer, big sumptuous sofa's and chairs, and pleasing decor. We were warmly greeted by the reception staff and check-in was carried out in an efficient, friendly manner.
We had two rooms adjacent to each other, with side sea views. These were well equipped, spotless and comfortable, and house-keeping, with fresh towels and tea/coffee/sugar replenished daily. But unfortunatley the head-on view was that of a new hotel being built!! We were expecting a lot of noise, but am glad to say that this was not the case and if it had been I would have asked to be moved to other rooms.
We had opted for half-board and were very pleased that we did. The evening buffets were amazing, set up with various salads and breads plus several hot meal options and soup. The dessert table was also a feast in itself, with at least 5 different options each night!! Truly wonderful.
The same can be said of the breakfast. There was everything you could possibly think of including cold meats, cheeses, cooked breakfast (fried and poached eggs cooked "to-order"), yogurts, fresh fruits, breads, croissants, muffins and cereals.
Once again, the staff were all friendly and helpful aiming to please their clients and so make our stays more relaxing and pleasant.
The grounds at the rear of the hotel were lovely, all set out amongst grass and palm trees and a stone-throw away from the beach. There was a separate pool area for children away from the main adult pool area, which was good. Other facilities included a tennis court, games room, indoor pool, spa rooms, gym and internet.
Paphos town can be easily reached even by foot. You can breathe in the wonderful sea air if you walk along the sea front and the views are fantastic. All along the harbour front you will find restaurants eager to serve you their delicious local delicacies (the swordfish is a MUST!!). We found the "Delicious" cafe in particular gave excellent service and plentiful food.
When shopping for souvenirs, as with most things these days you should "shop-around". Generally speaking, the shops along the sea front are more expensive than the ones up in the town/in the back streets, also, be aware of cheap imitations!! Chinese imports are on the rise even in this country now, alas!!
All-in-all, we had a wonderful, relaxing week, with delicious food, good service by friendly, helpful staff and sunshine most days, and enjoyed visiting the "Tombs of the Kings", "Curium" (ancient amphitheatre), "Aphrodites Baths" (near Polis) and Limassol (where we "caught-up" with friends and neighbours from when we lived here.)
We would love to return to Cyprus later in the year and it would be great if we could stay in the "Aquamare" again, I thoroughly recommend it!

Stayed in this lovely hotel during the February half term with my husband and daughters, aged 7 and 4. We had a family suite room which was sea view and ideally located on the ground floor right next to the kids play area. I would use the term "family suite" very loosely as it was just a longer room to accommodate a sofa bed and z bed for the youngest. Our bed was made up of two singles pushed together and not particularly comfortable. The decor was a little dated, but it was very clean and there was maid service every day and the towels were changed daily as well. I would say that the room is my only complaint, the rest of the hotel, including service etc is faultless.

On arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff and given some brief information about the hotel (we checked in quite late at night).

We stayed on a half board basis, the food is of excellent quality and there was a very good choice at both breakfast and dinner. As it was out of season there was only a handful of children, but even so, our daughters were made to feel important and we weren't shunned to the back of the dining room like some 4 star snooty hotels do!

The facilities within the hotel are very good, an indoor pool, outdoor pool, children's splash pool with slide into the water, also a gym, sauna and spa (sadly I didn't get to indulge in the spa facilities). All the areas are kept spotlessly clean. As it was out of season the poolside snack bar area wasn't open, although we didn't have any cause to use this as we spent most days exploring, the outdoor pool was far too cold. My daughters played in the kids splash pool for a couple of hours 2 or 3 times but I had taken shortie wetsuits in anticipation of this. The indoor pool was a nice temp and most people just used this.

The hotel is located directly on the beach with nice gardens. It is almost the last hotel on Poseidonos Ave, so unless you are prepared to walk to the harbour, which I would estimate would take a fit person approx 45mins (we have previously stayed at The Alexander The Great, which is only about a 15 min walk) I would suggest a hire car, alternatively there is a bus stop a short distance away.

As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a new hotel being built right next door, but I have to say that we hardly noticed any noise or dust, perhaps this may change when the work progresses. The board outside the site said that the work would be complete in 2014.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a nice hotel with good facilities and nice location on the beach.

Room Tip: Families - ground floor "family suite" on left next to play area is a good location Roo...

Loved this hotel, great location , right on the beach, great sea views, although there was a new hotel being built next to the hotel, it wasn't a problem. Really nice well cooked food , different theme every night, wide selection, both dinner and breakfast were great. Only down side was there was a lack of things to do after dinner, unless you like drinking in the bar. The staff didn't bother you if you didn't want to drink , we met up with others just to socialise.

The staff were very welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The food was well presented and plentiful. This was our first time in Cyprus and we fully intend to go back to the Aquamare at the same time next year. We had a room overlooking the main road but it was not a problem as we could still see the hills, and Paphos at night is pleasant to look at. Also to sit in the outside breakfast area in the morning, with a view of palm trees and blue sea is worth going back for.

Room Tip: Third floor inland have a pleasant enough view
