“great service”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

I found the staff to be exceedingly helpful and kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond the call of duty to provide excellent service. We had a great experience there. Would readily go back for another stay.

The Avanti Village is a fairly standard block of apartments with a large pool. The rooms are quite big, and the kitchens are good. The beds are comfy, and it was quiet at night. On the downside, the shower was terrible, the music from the pool bar was mostly dreadful, and the location isn't great - it's in a soulless strip of new-ish big hotels, and the beach (which is about a 10-minute walk, depending on where your room is) isn't very good. The nearest supermarkets are pretty expensive too. We walked to the waterpark, which takes about 20 minutes. Our teenage sons enjoyed that, and some of the motorised water entertainment at the beach.

There's nothing that looks like a traditional restaurant anywhere near, although you can get some local dishes amongst the usual stuff in some places (such as the Fiesta bar/restaurant). If you want Italian, Little Eataly is very good, and there are French, Chinese, Indian, and Japanese places fairly near - we didn't try those. For local food, a taxi into town is reasonable. We had excellent meals at 7 St Georges, the Windmill, and Hondros, all of which I'd recommend. We tried the Avanti Hotel buffet, which was ok.

The things we enjoyed most were the Tomb of The Kings, and the mosaics in the site beside the harbour, which were fantastic. In general, though, Paphos doesn't have much character left, and the Avanti Village could be just about anywhere in the world (the facilities reminded me of places in Cuba and Jamaica, but without any of the charm).

Room Tip: Doesn't matter a great deal - it's only 3-4 minutes to the pool from the furthest point, whi...

Stayed here for a week in September 2013, one of the best Holiday's I have ever had. Avanti Village was very clean and all staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the main entertainer (AJ), he was always stopping to speak to me and my family and we found out he was from our area in England. Avanti even put on a 'meet the staff' meeting. Beautiful views from our Apartment and the pool was never too busy, also had a swim up bar. You could use the facilities of the Avanti Hotel (although we didn't use anything there), the little Village with restaurants was a 2 minute walk if that. The mini supermarket on site was fairly expensive so we ended up travelling out to the harbour and found a bigger supermarket to get the essentials (bread, water, etc.), this would have been too far of a walk so the receptionist ordered a cab/taxi for us which cost very little. Would definitely return here in the future and I highly recommend Avanti Village

I have just returned from 2 weeks and could not fault the Avanti Village. The staff were friendly, the apartments and pool area were very clean and the location is great. Breakfast was hot and tasty and set you up for the day

We stopped at the Avanti Village for 10 nights from the 1st of June to attend a wedding at the nearby Athena Beach Hotel.
Stopping on a B&B basis we couldn't really fault the food although we did not eat there on an evening, the rooms are a bit dated but never less always clean and sufficient for your stay with the added bonus of flat screen TV and a few English channels.

Our children aged 3 and 10 found the kids club very welcoming and found both Adina and Fuzzy to be very friendly and approachable at all times from morning to evening and we really do recommend if you have children they give it a try at some stage of your holiday they also do an excellent job at the kids disco on a night.

You must also try the walk into Paphos from the Beach on a night takes approx. 30 mins but you have ample bars and restaurants where you can stop off for a drink on the way, the scenery is amazing and Paphos centre also has a very good variety of shops, bars and restaurants
Also you have a choice of a few Fun type bars on Bar St(just up from Main Street)if you fancy a more lively night.
Overall an excellent holiday and we will def be visiting Paphos again in the future and the Avanti Village made our holiday all that more memorable.

Room Tip: Take the walk into Paphos along the beach early evening

Our holiday last year holds so many amazing memories just wish we were going back this year! Wrote in advance to request adjoining rooms - following pleasant emails this request was met. Arrived late and met by very friendly and helpful reception staff. Apartments very clean and adequately kitted out. Layout great and cleaned daily. Pool fab and plenty of sunbeds. We went over to hotel on two occasions for party nights both times were great and food lovely. Really enjoyed our early evening cocktails at nearby bar (next to bus stop). Bus down to harbour regular and cheap. Shops on site near reception and at back of village reasonably priced but supermarket at harbour best value. All in all we had a fabulous time and would recommend in a heart beat. Spain this year and even before we go I am wishing we were going to the Avanti_Village as it'd take some beating xxxxxx

Room Tip: Ask for top floor middle block room if you like to be near to pool but not next to!
