Stayed here 31/3/13 till 14/4/13, first week was quiet as it had only just opened for the season, second week steadily got busier. Our apartment B334 had a side pool view and was on the 1st floor, in the shade first thing but lovely sun from dinner time onwards. Very spacious and beds comfy altho quite firm but that was ok for me. We hired a car so explored most days, went to troodos mountains and Kykos monestary altho didn't heed the car hires advice to use the same return route and somehow ended up on the north coast at Polis, we like adventure. The Avanti staff were fantastic, AJ entertained throughout the day even water volley ball in the rather cold pool but this did start to warm up near the end of our stay. Our room maid Susannah was so friendly, altho didn't speak much English she was fab with the children and the towel origami was a delight to come home to, she also loved my sons attempt to copy her crocodile. Andrea on reception was a lovely friendly face, very helpful and chatty, very patient with my 2 who were regulars at wanting change for the games in reception. My daughter did some scratch art cards which hopefully are still on display behind reception. The captains hook bar was good, even managed to find the grand national for us on the tv, , fabulous food at Fiesta, the best steak we have ever had. Good with the children too.
The mini golf was fun and near by. Just a short walk to the beach and sea front. The waterpark wasn't yet open. In all a brilliant holiday, lovely weather warm but not scorching so ideal for families and for sight seeing and walking. Some lovely restaraunts in Paphos on the sea front and lots of historical things to see. some lovely shops and nice souvenirs. my only bad day was following the signs to the waterfall and pool between paphos and coral bay, it said a road suitable for all cars, this is NOT THE CASE, an awful single track un made road full of stones and potholes with severe drops which had my 10 year old in tears then when you finally get to the waterfalls its 9 euros for adults and 7 for children but after death road as my kids called it you had little option. Pretty water fall but nothing special. Threw some stones in the pool then left , expensive half hour. 4 x 4 would be ok. Love Cyprus and loved Avanti village !!!!

A very good choice for relaxing. The Village area is surprisingly large, but we were happy to get the room=apartment near the pool and Taverna and with a nice view. The breakfast was very good and the service exellent. The pool is big enough for swimming. We enjoined swimming altough in April the water was still cool. Very nice and friendly staff..

Just returned from our first trip to Paphos and thanks to the Avanti Village and Hotel will probably become an annual trip. Our apartment was huge and spotless, all the facilities in the village and the hotel are spotless. Pool/Beach towels provided and can be swapped daily.Everything you could want provided. The Staff are friendly and helpful and a special mention to the entertainment team AJ, who my 9 year old daughter fell hopelessly in love with, and his girls Robyn and Jenna, the nightly mini disco was the highlight of the evening and their enthusiasm and energy infectious. Also the hotel receptionist Andrea who was a delight. We went half board and had the best of both worlds with a wonderful breakfast at the Village Taverna with a lovely view of the pool and the birds for company and an all you could eat buffet at the Hotel each evening. The walk along the seafront to the Harbour only takes 20 minutes and was something we looked forward to daily although the bus journey only costs 1 euro, kids under 10 are free, and if you pay 3 euro you can ride on any bus that day anywhere until 11pm! Would highly recommend the Pelican restaurant on the harbour especially for their fish and seafood although it is quite expensive. Also fab ice creams in the Frozen Yoghurt Ice Cream Parlor. The Tomb of the Kings is definitely not to be missed and is a bargain at 3.70 euros; it is vast as is the archaeological museum situated just behind the harbour - but do not expect to be in and out within an hour! Such value for money. We also did a half day boat trip that excelled all expectations with a delicious lunch and live entertainment and very friendly staff. All in all we had a wonderful time and a week wasn't long enough. Will definitely return but probably not in the Summer as it would be too hot and too busy, think we timed it just right.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in Blocks A and B as they are close to the pool and main areas and also for a first floor room so as not be be bothered with cats or the biggest ants I have ever seen in my life!!

April 2013 - a really good holiday here with three children 4,10,11, they were all kept busy with a.j. Robin and Jenna in the entertainment team and liz in the kids club they all made the holiday for us. The village and hotel next door, that you can also use, we're very clean and modern with good value for money in the pool bar and restaurant. We definitely be returning here soon.

Stayed in an apartment at the village for one week in April. Booked the Avanti through Jet 2 but based on trip advisor reviews. Apartment was huge, bedroom and living area separate, terrace and kitchen. One of the main things I noticed about the village is that it was kept very clean. Great pool area with plenty of sunbeds, it was quiet as it was early April but I imagine does get busy in the summer. There is a Taverna where you can get breakfast and lunch, a good supermarket on site and a pool bar. There's free Wifi in the lobby. You can use the facilities at the Avanti Hotel but we didn't do this.

It's about a twenty minute walk down the main street to the harbour, or you can hop on the bus for €1 or €3 for a day ticket. If getting a taxi make sure you agree the price before you get in.
