“Lovely and relaxing holiday”
Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

We stayed at Ascos beach early June and really enjoyed our family holiday there. The hotel was clean and food good. The staff are so friendly and helpful and really make your stay that little but more enjoyable. The hotel is on the beach and the view from our balcony was over looking the sea which was so nice to wake up to each morning.
Coral bay has a few bars and restaurants but on a whole is very relaxed so if you want more things to do then Paphos is the place to be which is a short bus ride away.
It is true that you pay for what you get but I would recommend this hotel as we had no problems at all.

When searching on line for a package in Cyprus found this hotel which looked really good value for money - realised it was an older hotel but it looked well kept and like the look of the gardens and dining facitilities - it didn't disappoint and exceeded expectations. Public areas in the hotel are beautifully kept - grounds are gorgeous with great pool area and gardens going down to the sea - you can get into sea but there is not really a beach - two great dining areas with plenty of room - always managed to get a seat on the terrace for breakfast and lunch - loved the evening dining room with its panoramic view and beautifully laid tables - made the evening meal special and worth dressing up for - entertainment was very good for the size of hotel - lovely to be able to sit outside all evening (entertainment always finished at 12 so noise not an issue for above rooms and the one night we did go to bed early to our first floor room just above the stage we did not think it a problem. Beautiful view from the balcony - room was a good size with a small seating area and also seats and table on the balcony - room was well serviced to a very good standard. The food was good - you always have to remember what the local cuisine is - and - its an island so some items will be very expensive to import - as expected there was lots of lovely Cyprus pork and brilliant salads and fresh fish, as well as a variety of desserts. The hotel was 1/2 hour bus ride outside Pathos and it was good to be away from such a busy town but be able to visit easily. We could walk to the local shops and bus stop in 5 minutes. The staff were lovely and very hardworking - it was great to be greeted on our first morning at breakfast by the hotel manager who was keen to make sure that all his guests enjoyed their holiday - all in all we had a great time in what really was a little oasis

Two weeks 31may ,14june, hotel was full sun beds available anytime of morning or afternoon nice large area around a nice big pool , never had to wait for table in restaurant , food was very good quality although more choice would of been nice , I always found something to eat (I'm vegetarian ) my wife said all the meats were nice and well cooked , the rooms are spacious for two the bathroom is a tight squeeze , the shower is over the bath and held onto the wall by a type of ball bearing , the water was always hot and plentiful , the entertainment at times was very good, it's held on the outdoors stage in the summer months and goes on until midnight so if you want a quiet room then don't have one overlooking the pool , shops restaurants pubs a six minute walk from hotel , bus to pathos every 6 minutes cost €1.50 any distance . No need to bring a sun bed towel as the hotel supply's them , the room safe is little although it was plenty big enough for my mini iPad , camcorder and cameras , not wide enough for a 15 inch laptop . Must vacate room by 12 but you can keep it on till 3 for extra €15 or till 6 for €25. You retain all inclusive until you leave hotel weather you keep room on or not.
Down side ,the gym is rubbish poorly equipped with old and broken equipment with very few weights, internet wi-fi cost €30 per week , chris and Sheila from Bham , we would return to this hotel for the right price and when the gym is up graded , hope you enjoy

Room Tip: I would choose a room over looking the pool but in doing so I had to suffer the entertainment music...

Went there with family for a week. Paphos is a beautiful place and we had a blast! Food at the hotel was great especially dinnertime, rooms were clean enough and we received an excellent service from the waiters and the really understanding hotel manager. Would like to come back again so already checking for flights. Shall recommend it to others.

Just returned from 7 days at the Ascos in Coral Bay. My wife has been on four previous occasions with friends and this was our first visit as a couple. The impression you get of the hotel reception is a rating far beyond four stars, it was quiet, cool, immaculately clean and as well appointed as any five star hotel we have stayed at. We received a friendly and efficient check in and were in our clean, well laid out and air conditioned room within five minutes. The room facilities comprised of everything one could expect and the only possible criticism would be that although clean and containing all amenities etc. the bathroom was in need of updating. However it did not distract from being functional, and the daily room service and daily replacement of any used towels more than compensated for this observation.
Throughout the week we benefited from opting for all inclusive as every mealtime was without a problem, there was a good variety of options available at every service and course, also the buffet area was constantly being patrolled by staff attending to replenishment and further requests. The table staff were courteous and efficient and our only observation was that some of our fellow guests seemed incapable of treating the staff with the same amount of respect and good grace that they were receiving.
The purpose of our holiday was to enjoy some good weather and relax to recharge our batteries and the hotel and its staff did nothing to distract or hinder this, they merely facilitated it by providing a trouble free and enjoyable stay. We do not consider ourselves to be demanding holiday makers, but all our inquiries and requests were met with efficient and cheerful responses, from reception to dinning room to poolside bar. Subject to arranging time off from work we are planning to return in September, sadly too soon to benefit from the planned closure and subsequent bathroom refit program which starts later this year. My wife has noted that year on year there have been subtle improvements, but that since her last visit in September 2013 there has been a culmination of detailed changes which resulted in her stating that it was the best week she has experienced there.
I hope the hotel management and staff can continue to provide a pleasant environment for us to enjoy future visits. Thank you.

Just returned from 11 nights at this hotel. What a fantastic experience! Our first time in Paphos, but definitely not our last. Everything about the hotel was first class - bedrooms spacious and clean, public areas the same. The staff were the best we have ever encountered, from the hotel manager to the cleaning staff - nothing was too much... 10 out of 10
