“A beautiful place to visit.”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We took the half day trip on the Hop-on Hop-off bus and were delighted when we stopped at this beautiful monastery. We were free to wander around and just absorb the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the site. The cave where the Saint lived for many years is very impressive and there are some delightful wall paintings. The cloistered area was cool and welcoming and it was inspiring to see elderly priests enjoying the setting amid beautiful trees and flowers. There is a small shop and a cafe here, and there are toilets too.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place. There is also a cave where the saint lived many many years ago. Need a car or taxi to reach (10-15 minutes from Paphos)

“Peaceful setting”

Plenty of parking, very clean and tidy with a large cafe. Didn't try the cafe fare. 1 euro to go into the museum which also includes access to the Hermitage.

“Excellent”

Brilliant tour with guide called Mary. She was very knowledgable and was very funny with lots of information about all the villages we stopped at. We went on the VIP tour which was only twenty people and so there was no waiting for people or people wondering off as we were such a small group would recommend.
