A “must do” if you are in the Paphos area. Only 4.5 euros entry and takes 2-3 hours to fully get round. There are several buildings , with a great chance to get closeup on how the Romans built the houses. Well preserved mosaics and a castle too! It was hot even in late September, so recommend you do this as early in the day as possible. The only downside was the lack of a good guidebook at the site yo give more background

Walked round after visit the castle and it was worthwhile doing so.
The mosaics were stunning and a great piece of history still available to view.

This site is well worth a visit. To see all the mosaics that have been painstakingly uncovered is an eye opener. Video is played at the start to explain what has been done at the site.

If you've come to Paphos, you simply must come here. The mosaics are incredible. There are lots of them, and it's incredible to think that they've survived. The House of Dionysus especially is mindblowing. And for €4.50 it's an absolute bargain.

Wear a hat, strong sunscreen and proper shoes - it's hot and the park terrain is a bit rough. Bring cold water too, though there are drinks machines next to the House of Dionysus and a nice cafe outside.

Pro tip: The visitor centre is air-conditioned and has a really interesting film about the site. It's worth cooling off here both before and after seeing the sights.

Very little shade so take water and a hat. The mosaics are among the largest and best and most detailed I have ever seen. All are in situ. Quite astonishing. A must if you like art and history
