It was my third visit in this place but you can return again and again. Feeling send back to the history for negligible fee comparing with other attractions. It is better to go there during early morning or late evening because of hot weather. Buy a book - GUIDE TO THE PAPHOS MOSAICS . and you will get all necessary informations.

What a brilliant setting for music & theatre, both of which I have seen many times here. Every performance is unique but please take something soft to sit on.

A wonderful site, very reasonably priced. Plenty to see and explore. A real must whilst in Paphos. Try to avoid the heat of the day during the summer as the site is extensive. Note that it is open reasonably late into the evening and time your visit accordingly. Certainly worth adding to your itinerary.

My son and I walked around the ruins and it was great to imagine walking where others had trod hundreds of years before. While the ruined building require some imagination to picture what was once their the mosaics are incredible and well worth viewing. We also stopped by the ruined castle which was destroyed by an earthquake.

One point to note. The site is spread out over a large area, so be prepared for a lot of walking over rough paths. There is a vending machine for water (60c) just before you enter the main building containing the mosaics.

We spent 2-3 hours on the site but you could take longer or shorter depending on your own timetable.

If you fancy a bit of historical culture as a break from hitting the bottle (sunlotion or vino) it's just a few small coins to get in & lots to see, from ancient architecture to marvellous mosaics. The amphitheatre provides many photo opportunities; make sure you take plenty of water (and yes that sun lotion!)
